Your Music understands my story and has inspired me as a Poet and Writer. Has helped my focus. No matter what, something always seems to bring me back to your lyrical poetry and entrancing beats with vocals that carry emotion in a way I cannot even describe. Anytime that someone doesn't understand what I'm going through? I can lead them to one of your songs that can tell them better than I can. Outside my inspired Poetry. Coming back to your music after too much noise distorting reality through the years, bringing me to this point in time...Honestly has reminded me who I am to my core... Your music is meditative on a dark level, and it means the world to me. And now this song? Has stricken a chord that is much needed at this point in my life especially... My best friend of over 10 years (geez...Probably over 15 even..), has drifted from me and this song really sums up a lot between us... Straight to this jagged heart. But I needed this revelation to stare me in the eyes, because I know I am losing him. No...I already have. He would claim I never will... Yet we never speak and when we do, even I am locked out. I've been so confused, but this song makes a lot of sense out of even our broken friendship. Thank you Tom Shear, Assemblage 23. For every bit you've imparted through your albums. They are truly one of a kind ♡

Tom.... Can you do me a favor? Just keep making damn good music brother... If ppl would actually ever bother to stop and just listen to what's being said in your music... Not to mention the rhythmic melodies you "assemble" to back it up.. It's pure art... :)
What's the weirdness at 00:31? and then a drop out at 00:58, 2:19, 3:40 ... hope these are artifacts of the youtube upload. also weird stuff at: 1:27 1:55 2:32 3:03 3:17 Ok, I like it, but I can't keep listening :) Will just have to buy it.
So do I, truth be told A23 is my favorite band of all time, so it's almost impossible for them to release a song I'm not going to enjoy. I just don't like the two aforementioned songs as much as all of the others on bruise.
It's weird, I think the tracks from the bonus disc for bruise are more powerful then the actual albums playlist. That's not to say I don't think the album proper isn't amazing, It is. I just think Mr. Shear should have put this song in particular, and God Is A Strangely Absent Father over,Darkflow, and Otherness. The two weakest tracks .Imho
