This video is a time laps assembling my Dept. 56 Snow Village in November of 2018. Also see a complete video of my finished display here on my channel.
Love it! Had to take mine down this year for a move. 1st year without the train garden in 25 years. Fun to find so may others who enjoy this :) Merry Christmas!
Amazing job. I don’t put up mine every year because it’s just so much work. You have to be congratulated for such an amazing job and with just over a week. Mine takes almost 2 months and it’s not as big as yours. I also stopped collecting pieces. I just don’t have space. Got a lot of pleasure looking at this video. Thank you for sharing.
My husband would never have the patience to do that. The Snow Village in our house is my collection., he did build me a nice removable table when I expanded my village into our dining room..We both agree, he does the outside lights!! LOL
What an inspiring display! You are a master builder with oodles of patience. It's so self satisfying to to do something like this and it truly grows from year to year. God bless your wonderful effort. I have also had many challenges building mine but never on such a grand scale. May yours continue for many, many years. May your son continue the tradition.
Just fantastic! I envy the talent it takes to make this beautiful Town! Recently I watched “SHARON SHE’S SO FABULOUS “ on RU-vid. You people are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing all this with us! 👏👏👏👏
Super cool! I'm going to turn the desk in my dorm into a mini village, hopefully my roomie doesn't find it weird and enjoys it too haha. I only have about 20 houses all st Nicholas square but I'm hoping to at least fit 10 in my dorm with accessories!
, Absolutely incredible ! The devotion and patience and gifted hands to create something so beautiful and magical to ! Thank you for sharing and blessing to you and your love ones ! 😇
Thank you for your kind words and watching my video! I truly enjoy and love setting it up and sharing with people, it is a labor of love and joy of the season. I will start putting it up this year right after Halloween so it will be up for Thanksgiving.
Thank you, very much. I actually got four new pieces this year so it will be interesting to see how I make them fit...lol. Starting to set up next week!
I got two Snow Village houses as a gift one year. And I started buying more on Ebay. Didn't know better and I bought Alpine, Christmas in the City, Dickens. Later on I realized what a mess. I gave them away and kept the Snow Village. I downsized my living and now I live through the lives of people like you with your beautiful Village. I still have maybe 20 houses and many figures. You have inspired me to set them up this year, thank you! I look forward to seeing your village this year.
That is awesome! Remember in the video I talked about I started with just 5 or 6 pieces. So just get a few that you like and build form there. If you need any help or have any questions feel free to ask me. I too am looking forward to this 2021 Christmas, last year we were unable to share our village in person with family or friends due to the pandemic.
Thank you and that is a wonderful idea. It is something that always brings joy at Christmas and is a tradition that everyone can appreciate. You can purchase on line new from Dept 56 or there is a lot of them for sale on eBay and Facebook. If you are a Facebook person here is a link to a site that you can see a lot of items for sale.(FYI - it best to get it in the original box) facebook.com/groups/717644038315869
Frank you have an awesome village. Fun to see how you do it. I know you have to get really motivated to get it done. I know about the effort. Maybe this year you can take more pics of your village after it is complete. I think everyone would love to see more of the finished product. TFS I enjoyed it. I 'Liked" and "Subscribed" See Linsterville for more Christmas village fun.
Thanks Pete, I have had over 700 views over the last year and it seems to be a fun video to watch. I agree that I did not spend much time on the finished village because I felt it was already long enough and I have seen some others that, to be honest, were a bit long showing some areas of the display several times. All that said, my challenge this year is to create a video that is only of the finished product but not too long or boring so that people will enjoy watching it and get some Ideas. Thanks for the input and I will post the new video here on my channel when it is done.
Thank you, with the pandemic sadly we can't have people over to see the town. If you would like to see my finished display for this year, I just posted a video here on my channel a couple days ago. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iv7zV90XRnQ.html
Thank you, this past year (2022) I did an extension of one of my platforms because I added three new houses and one new building. That was a lot more work than I expected because I had to reconfigure a number of areas. But in the end when completed I was happy with the results. Thanks for watching.
@@frankrich4153 You did a great job on it. I am looking forward to seeing your display this year. There is a video here on RU-vid of mine. I'm new to this posting video stuff.
Not sure if I will answer your question correctly or not because almost all my pieces are porcelain / ceramic. I do prefer the glazed look of them, while the poly resin units have more detail and depth. I believe it depends on the piece and how it fits in your display. Also of course as with all items in life, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thank you for viewing my video and your question. Happy New Year!
Frank , we have a department 56 village animated bumper fun ride. It won’t work and my fiancée can normally fix anything. We were wondering if you had any tips or know where we can go to find out how to fix it. Thank you and we love your videos!
It is a craft material I got several years ago from Amazon. Here is the link but you may need to search elsewhere since it is no longer available. It is like the black material on the bottom of furniture.
Would have been more interesting to watch the set up from closer, to see how the different scenes were displayed. Hard to imagine much from so far away and at that speed
Thank You for watching my video and your comment Mars. While there are a few segments of showing individual areas being created , the idea behind this video was to show the entire display and how I assemble it. As for the speed, over the years in creating videos I found that having a long video gets boring and most people lose interest quickly. So that is why I did the time laps and speeded it up. That said I totally get what you are saying and will start working on a story board for my next assembly video. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
