It is an active church with weddings, funerals and all other services for the members. Have a plan B on the day you want to view the basilica's interior. There is a castle on top of the hill that is worth a look while waiting for a wedding to finish.

Thank you very much Rick, i really loved watching this as i have just returned from the town of Assisi , i now feel really blessed. Thank you God for guiding me there and reminding me why he is the patron saint of Animals,Birds. and nature. Amen..

Hi! First of all I would like to wish a happy new year! I am an seminary student currently studying in Korea. I was in the process of creating a video on the Papal Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi for fellow catholic members in my diocese. However, because I am in Korea and unable to film any footage of it myself I was searching for other sources of it when I happened to come across your video. I thought that it was perfect for my content, which is not used in generating any profit, and was wondering if I could use some of your footage in my own video.
