I'm fortunate enough to have landed a job position as a Hotel Manager for a very busy City Centre hotel in the heart of Dublin, Ireland, so watching and listening to you carry out your day to day operation and what advice you would give in relation to administration and the key(s) to success has been very knowledgeable and a great insight for me. I hope everything went well with the promotion and all the best for the future.
i must say, her way of explaining is so nice. i learnt a lot from her. i also want to work at a hotel and i am searching more information about it, but this video explains a lot!
Wow really learnt a lot from her. Especially admirable about her work ethic and compassion towards people and art. What a humble personality as well, no wonder she gets to be assistant GM at such a young age. Where is the part 2? I would love a follow-up :))
Natalie! You are absolutely fabulous! I learned so much from this video. I was sad it was over, and I soaked up everything you said like a sponge. On the flip side, I have an interview for AGM coming up, and I'm really beginning to wonder if I have what it takes. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to do this video. CHEERS!
Interesting to see how large accounting looms in her job description. The fundamental skills of Rooms Division , F&B Housekeeping and Catering are not mentioned at all. Her background, reservations is interesting as it aligns with accounting of course. For someone to become a GM in a hotel those skills were required and most fundamental.
I have a hotel management course with a diploma and in my country nobody hires me because i have no experience in management ... I have a 20 year experience in hotel reception and i can`t advance because all the old managers do not release their jobs .
Typically yes. But that is very dependent on what market you are in. If you serve a leisure market then yes the manager or assistant manager will work weekends but in a business/corporate market there aren't very many reasons to work on the weekends due to travelers arriving primarily on the weekdays.
@@Consst 65k for an assistant GM position in a BOUTIQUE hotel??? shes extremely lucky to make that much, that is a lot for what she does at that kind of hotel.
@@Consst missing the point. Small hotel, assistant position, and only 30 years old?? That's cheddar for where she's at. You don't just get to jump right into making 200k.. Which hardly any GMs will ever see yearly in their life
