Assisted & Automatic Vs. Manual Knives 

I prefer manual knives. I agree with you that assisted knives made sense 10-15 years ago when action on knives was not as good.

You could also separate Kershaw partial assist into a subclass of assisted locks because it drops the blade 40% after unlocking and allows using one hand to close, which is much easier.
