Mmmmaybe. Think hard first. You have muslim countries that allow honor killings and beheadings if you don't conform. Freedom is relatively far, and few in between.
Dancing together, young men and women and apparently their parents, is a great way to build a sense of community that includes everyone. It’s very different from western culture but could be something we should try.

@@CJB- If you were there and everyone in the room is doing it, I don't think you'd have a problem. You'd be fine because the attention isn't just on you.
@@mi81tkne47 If I was there I'd most likely leave the room maybe go for a walk, then claim I was upset cos I'd missed it. I avoid such events if I can, if not I will have weeks of anxiety building up to it.
@@CJB- Well, social phobia is an extremely common phobia so don't feel too bad about having it. However, realize that everyone has a little of it. Even if you look at the people's faces in this video you can see there is a little awkwardness/shyness here and there, but that's totally fine. If you experience 20% discomfort but 80% enjoyment, that's a pretty good trade off. Also, you can reduce your social phobia (not completely eliminate it, no one can) to the point where it doesn't prevent you from participating in social events/settings. The cure is a book called The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook by Edmund J Bourne PhD and it is an absolute gift to mankind. It will change your life. There are more than 1 million copies in print. It is a practical step by step guide to deal with all phobias and anxieties. No need to spend thousands of dollars on therapy, just buy the book or get it from a library. It's the kind of book you should read and then keep handy so you can review it often. Best of luck!
