@@uclajd I don't think he meant that Randy was lacking as a driver, but he need more time to push the Senna to it's limit. As mentioned in the video, the Senna is equipped with active aero, and although it's a very advanced tech, it's changed the dynamics of the car all the time, especially in low speed and high speed zones (different amount of downforce produced). Thus the driver need more time to grasp their nature and get use to them.

pgie AR agree with you. There is some work to be done on the both front suspension to find that good grip accompanied by active aero. With more time to adjust and play with it, I'm sure there is another second or two to shave off. I personally really like Senna, I like even more how poorly they are doing in the second hand market. Once it settles at $500k it will be a bargain and a long term car to keep for many enthusiasts, especially those that can just afford one super car to keep for life.

@@budokpantai Agreed man. I wonder if they have another go on Laguna Seca in the Senna sometime in the near future. That and a second chance for the 720S would be sweet too. Randy said the 720S he drove in 2018 was a sloppy affair, so I'm curious if it can do better.

@@Rentta the 650s doesnt destroy the senna. the 650s is faster overall, but the only reason Harris couldn't take the Senna around the circuit faster is because it is a very tricky car to control. Also, the Senna is road legal which means a lot of race-unnecessary weight is on it. Its not fair to compare these cars. Its like comparing a Ferrari 812 to a Scuderia F1 car.

@JJ Williams Exactly, when you have to spend four times the money to beat the Porsche, that's more impressive to me than the performance of the Senna. Though, honestly, I'd take a GT3RS over either of them. Give me a N/A screaming engine. Do I care if I set any lap records? No. Even if I had a Senna would I set any lap records? No.

You have to realize that this is one of her first times Randy has ever been in a Senna. You can tell he could get a couple more seconds on apexes. Also he’s driven the GT cars many times before his GT2RS hot lap. The senna has almost every single track record except of course the Nurburgring.

That was the most hilarious graphics for the track position yet. Normally the cars are so close you can`t mention just by looking who is in front. In this case: Split from the first corner and at the end a whole straight to finish. I think the Senna is a "bit" more track-focused. :-D

I have the senna. And it was my winner at hockenheim beating Ford GT and Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR. My lap time Laguna seca with senna was 1:00.

This wasn't remotely competitive. when the McLaren crossed the line, it was doing 135mph, while the Aston was braking for the last corner at 45 mph. Aston got left for dead at an ASTONishing (pun intended) 90mph difference. This was a humiliation that should never have happened. May as well compare a Prius with a Pagani.

Well a Valkyrie and the Starsky and Hutch Torino 5th gear tested would be a lot farther apart. 2:32 at Rockingham in the dry😂 The next slowest car was a 2006 Vantage Cabriolet. It did 1:40: in the pouring wet!😂

Chris Harris tested a Senna when it first came out. He stated the front tires lost grip way too early relative to the rear. He was disappointed by the understeer and said the front tires were limiting the performance. Randy seems to be experiencing the same limitations...

In all fairness to Aston Martin that Super Leggera is not equipped with all the special Aston Martin features You get from the dealer and the dealer also is partnered with its performance shop to place extra amenities on the car as well. That car right here is 100 percent totally naked stock.

You know the Aston was going to be a long way behind when the Senna had 30mph on it at the beginning of turn 1. The Senna makes you think the speedometer is in Km/h.
