i loved ash, but john being the villa correspondent is great for the podcast, he’s passionate and knowledgeable and speaks well. plus you can see he’s living his dream job. it all goes great for the content. great show as always lads. being a villa fan that’s moved abroad your coverage is very much appreciated
All this talk about international food. I think John should ask Unai the following question at his next presser : Martinez cook Empanades for you. Torres cooks Paella for you. Tielemans gets some Belgian chocolate for you. McGinn cooks haggis, neeps and tatties for you. Bailey cooks curried goat for you. Watkins cooks toad in the hole for you. Who is most likely to be the 1st name on your teamsheet?
Re: Bogarde - fan opinions. I acknowledge that this isn't similar in context at all to any criticism faced by Bogarde but I have noticed how Bogarde is drawing some intense criticism of late. And I wanted to call out how absolutely disgusted I've been by the Spurs fan base who have abused Brennan on socials. I mention only because its important we keep in mind that there is a massive difference between constructive criticism vs an abusive irrational pile on botth on the socials and in thee stadium. We need to keep in mind that no player, especially a young player goes out to play badly and we fans in my opinion have a responsibility to be balanced in our criticism of players especially these young players who are still learning their craft. Sorry for the rant I just needed to get it off my chest after seeing how terrified Brennan looked as Son virtually pushed him towards their Away fans the other night to take their appreciation for the late winner 🙄
Were the club justified in delaying the north stand rebuild? They did bank on us getting to the champions league, plus imagine the price the tickets would be if we had even less seats. Additionally, has there been an update on this building work as it’s due to be finished by the next euros?
Not a chance, a full back is a specialised role and we can't just throw him in there to include him in the team. It half worked with Konsa because he's still a defender by trade. Kamara I can see being part of the double pivot with Onana going forward and Tielemens can play further forward to rotate with Mcginn
league cup wise, you would sitll have had to beat whoever city had bumped out the cup in the semis, not the same as coming second by 1-2 points in teh league. Also, are we building a hotel so that we can sell it to ourselves?
I’ve seen footballers do worse than what Duran did. Emery was angry because it was the second time he was asked. No one else has a go at the other shithousers in the game.
