I'm not a Aston Villa fan, but for some reason I had this video when I was a kid, a I used to watch it Quite alot. Thankyou for putting this on RU-vid brought back some good memories.
I had loads. From Coventry and like Liverpool too so had most them videos. I also had Man City 89/90,90/91. Notts forest 88/89, Everton 88/89,89/90. Luton Town 88/89. Norwich City 90/91. And goals galore 88/89 & saves galore 89/90. What can I say I love football lol
Such fond memories of this great season!! Unforgettable home win v Everton a highlight!!I am sure if Taylor had stayed we would have won the title with in two seasons of this!!! UTV
Hey Liam, I was 21 and lived in Surrey at the time. Went to every home game and most away games that season, and the following one too. I live in Canada now and the last game at home was in 2010 when beat Everton 1-0, Luke Moore was the scorer.
Adore the Chris Price goal at Arsenal. Cascarino muddles about for what seems like an eternity before the slip ball. Only bettered in 93 with a late Andy Townsend winner after Bosnich had saved an Ian Wright pen.
Very fond memories of this great season. The turning point seemed to be when Platty missed that penalty at home to Wimbledon. Then that wretched thing they call doubt sneaked in meaning there'd be no repeat of the once in a lifetime 1980-81 glory.
Ha, Ian Olney had a few goals in him but alas wasn't championship winning material. Comparing him to a lot of youth scheme striker since Darren Byfield, Richard Walker, the Moore brothers and the Fonz, Olney did okay.
Everton fan here. This was my first season following football, I had the Race for the Championship and Goals/Saves Galore videos of this season. Still do, actually. Great to see some old childhood memories. I'm 40 years old now but I still remember a lot of these games/goals. I've got to say, playing a 6ft 4in left winger in Ormondroyd really paid off despite being slightly unorthodox. Good luck to you, I think you've got a good manager in Gerrard.
