Absolutely jealous of 2 things that you have... 1 is the amazing weather and views you get in your backyard, another is the wardrobe full of MAAP kits that you wear everyday!
Top!! From 185 w for 82 kilos 18 months ago to 300 for 74 kilos yesterday (in a climb near Alcobaça Portugal !!) I am super happy too!! Great job buddy !!!
New to your channel. Loving your honesty - life can be challenging and it's refreshing to see a creator be up front with the ups and downs. Keep it up mate - you're inspiring me to keep pushing. I only got into cycling this year. Shout out from Melbourne!
Great episode Thomas, consistency is key…..I’m currently recovering from hip replacement surgery so off the bike completely obviously, but your videos, and particularly ones like this keep me motivated for when I’m back on the bike…thank you. Ben
Love how you casually drop those bmx tricks! 🙌🙌 Think there’s definitely something in long(ish) dog walks during rest days. Got a Patterdale Terrier back in March (and combined with cycling 4-5 times a week), walking him everyday has made a massive difference to my FTP / weight loss / muscle gain. He also helps to ensure my sessions are (mostly) structured and sensible too - if I’m too knackered to walk him, he gives me hell 😂
Muscle memory is key to getting back your previous fitness levels , but the physical and mental strength that set it in the first place and to achieve it again pushing further is massive, good job,
Great job! I'm cycling much more recently as the summer heat resides. Got some waist fat to eliminate. The good thing about cycling is that we can exercise for several hours at a time.
Well done on the achievement! I had a crash 6 weeks ago and haven’t been on the bike since, this has inspired me to get the bike fixed and get back out there 👍⚡️
That’s it mate get back out there… don’t let the crash get in your head, just get back out there and start smashing it again, you’ll soon be smiling… 😁💪
Great results Thomas. It's always super motivational to get positive results. Most people say consistency is key and I also think not overloading keeps you that little bit fresher, rest days and lighter days. Anyway congrats man. Love the videos.
Awesome! Great video, very motivating for someone like myself who is trying to get consistent and build their fitness on the bike. I'm also looking into starting weighted jump rope too 🤷🏻♂️
Thank goodness you didn’t start swimming and running Thomas. Afraid this might turn into a Triathlon channel 🤣 well done on the results. There’s nothing like consistency and perhaps a little bit of supercompensation 💪 great vid and love the 🐶
Love your videos 🤗 Now I have one question. What is the name of your saddle and Looking at video it looks level. Does this change at all having that trainer set indoors! My trainer is 1 degrees upward and changes angle a bit and comfort indoor vs outdoor. Just trying figure out if other people just throw their bike on trainer and go about their day so anyone can chime in . Keep up the great work!
It’s the selle italia slr boost carbonio… what a mouthful! 🤣 Regarding position on the bike, my position doesn’t seem to change but I know some trainers are designed to be used with a front wheel riser which will obviously change the position.
Hi Thomas! How did you find out about that group ride? Is it an open group or just by invitation? I live in the Lisbon area and I would like to join a strong group ride!
😮❤Woah i notice the tattoo looks awesome and satisfying, i watch the video 3 years ago and you always ride in the sun but how Still looks awesome?? Whats the secret❤ ..thanks brother
Who knows… just keep in shape I guess! I’ve got the inaugural cycle in paradise event next month. Looking forward to that… plus a trip back to the uk! Also have plans to start boxing… there’s a few things.
@@TheCyclingTattooist I was concerned you lost your mojo but obviously you’re back on it 💥. It’s good to set goals for the future, its keeps one motivated.
Hey Thomas, fellow bmx rider here. What frame are you predominantly using when you ride the bmx? As in tt length, year and model. I noticed you have a nice collection of bmx bikes 🤘
I saw an episode or two where your trek cracked or was giving problems. Can you point me to episode when you went back to your red bike? Must’ve missed it. Thanks Thomas!
Not really… I was a little conscious of my diet and was trying to eat healthy “ish” but I also was still going out eating pizza and having occasional cakes too…
300+ is amazing man. After this 30 days, perhaps jump on an eight weeks endurance plan and couple it with calorie deficit to lose a bit of weight as well. Then that 300 watts shines! But you know the rules in deficits, easy and slow.
@@TheCyclingTattooist I get you brother. I also carry a bit of muscles in my upper body and I know it doesn’t help my cycling performance! It’s a dilemma! 😂
Ramp test absolutely isn't FTP for most people. But as you say, useful low-stress progress tracker. If you're willing to incurr more fatigue but not do a 40 minute or 1 hour test, 20 minute is usually pretty accurate.
One minute giving Zwift the finger ! 🖕 Next minute........ 😅 30 days ? Los Angeles 2028 BMX "Road to Gold" 🥇 training starts for you tomorrow ! Not a BMX er personally, but those guys in Paris ! Geez
@@TheCyclingTattooist Thats True :D I try to watch series or your youtube vids when there are new ones^^ so the time is flying and for me its good to do some mind training ^^ in the ironmans i need to do the same ^^xD
