I love these videos! It's so fascinating seeing these up close and personal. The artwork and the ads are almost as fun as the stories, but what actually is more fun than a golden age, or before golden age science fiction story. Not much! I hope you continue to do these when you acquire new magazines. Excellent video, Shawn!
Hii Shawn D. Standfast!! Hope you are well.i have visited your RU-vid channel and your video making is very good. Your content ideas are very good. Thank you so much.❤❤❤
@@ObscureBookAdventures As with most they varied in size to an almost oversized digest to larger than modern magazine sized. A real pain storing them now.
Those Hawk Carse stories by Gilmore (Bates) are the closest I ever came to DNFing pulp stories. Much I can forgive by being “of its time” but it was pretty offensive. How he came out with “Farewell to the Master” less than a decade later I don’t know, but I’m glad he did. A great look at one of the pulp survivors- thanks!
Yes, his pseudonym escaped me during filming. I haven't read them in a long time but don't remember them being that bad. But Farewell to the Master is great. I have the issue with it in I think. I either missed it during filming or overlooked it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
