What's the point of doing it. You will need the old key to insert in the ignition to start your car. The new key will not go inside and will not start the car. Then you have go to a locksmith and spend £50 to £100 to cut the key
+Ivan “nOxxi” Gaming when they release a new shape of astra pretty much that's the mark... so the old boxy one is mk1, then there's the one that's slightly less boxy and has an arched hatchback; mk2, then there's the one that looks almost like a bubble car, mk3, etc... I'd attach pics if I could as it's far easier to show than tell, but i think you get what I mean :)
i sell them for 13.99 plus 1.50 postage nothing about the electronics changes so you dont have to reprogram. just need to get the new blade cut. yeah vaux probably dont know about theas s the internals are desined especialy for the mk4 keys rather than the normal mk5 key
