The guard is the most relatable characters when reading. Dan Abnett is great making them feel real, as a veteran I've laughed at the banter several times

There is just something about normal men and woman fighting the horrors of the universe even though they know they will die that makes for great stories, I guess it’s because they don’t fight for honor or glory but rather the survival of the species and that is why it speaks to me

Any Guard Infantry Company: An Infantryman says to another "Top is the toughest man I ever saw, how long's he been 1st Sgt?" The other answers "Yup, Top's been here since before me, reckon he's got at least 3yrs in, mebbe 4."

You know - Baldermort would make for a great NPC in 40k games. I'ld love to hear his voice in Darktide for example - like Lohner was in Vermintide. Someone who gives us some background, tells us what our current mission is about and shares some witty banter.

I hope you see this baldermort ive never been this early. Thank you for all of your videos. I sleep to them every night. Ive watched and listened to your videos several times over. I can not get over how great your voice is for narration. You should narrate books, anything that gets your voice out there. Voice for the black library or something! Your content is astounding and your tales are so good i thought they were part of the canon. So well crafted and with such care for the lore and the setting. I wasnt even interested in 40k before your videos. How you dont have more subs is beyond me. Thank you for getting me rest when i cant sleep at night. Thank you for your passion that is so infectious. Thank you for the joy you bring the fans and i hope you get as much joy as we do. Thank you.

I stand by the window unsure what I want to for the rest of my day until work but in that moment the clock strikes and the speakers around the house start booming a incredible tune 0:01 I proceed to my office to sit down then I notice a hatch in the wall opening up and out flys a servo skull. But this one is different than the . It hovers by my desk and Instead of just writing with its quill and parchment it begins to speak to me not with a recorded mechanical voice but one that is soothing human as if alive.

That one picture of the soldier offering the Tau helm to the Lady of the Regiment... Someone is trying to get her a few children for the Emperor! Blood for the Blood God Skulls for the Skull Thrown! Farts for the Inquisition! Comments for the Algorithm!

This is very much an Imperium-focused account of history. In the Black Legion series we learn, that Cadia was not fortified by the time of the first Black Crusade, and that Abaddon’s forces certainly was not driven back in the Cadian system. He raided great parts of Segmentum Obscurus before retreating to the Eye to consolidate his position.

The Imperial Guard, true courage personified in the face of utter horror. The Space Marines know no fear, the Sisters of Battle have their faith to shield them and the Mechanicus have their logic and Omnissiah, but the Guardsmen has only his commissar, his duty, and his lasgun with which he stands and holds the line against the sheer horrors of the far future. Now that is true courage!

I've missed 10 weeks of content due to BCT. And I'm about to miss another 13 due to AIT. Oh well, itll be an awesome catch up collection.

As men of the guard we stem the tides of chaos xeno and heretic without falter

The Guard have always been my favorite faction. Just something about a hoard of regular people with no genebulking, no power armor, no special powers beyond a wall of guns, and a "GLORY TO THE FIRST TO DIE" attitude against all the nightmarish horrors of the galaxy. I love the fact that since Cadia fell, and because of the Cadians Reputation of being the best of the guard that, alot of other guard armies, regiments have modeled themselves on Cadias training and equipment, and Cadians are amongst a few guard regiments that the Adeptus Astartes actually highly respects, as Cadians share that "no fear" attitude like the space marines do.

Dear uncle Baldy, I'm a bit disappointed, I was hoping for 3 hours of your lilting voice giving all us lucky buggers a really long historical tale, but, as it would probably slaughter your throat I'll suffer the consequences lol. Sorry couldn't resist, thank you sir, a truly uplifting yet morbidly engrossing trip back through the Imperial history with a lot of filling in on various aspects, and it seems there's even more to this than meets the eye, or ear, fabulous.

Love 40k lore sure, but if you are interested in doing other lore videos would be interested in Age of Sigmar lore and even the old world. Other than that, I know it is still 40k, but Necromunda lore sounds like it would be dope too, a bit more micro view as opposed to 40k being the macro I guess? Either way, I you post lore videos, I will watch them fam. They are all appreciated!
