This is a good bat rep. Most people film an entire game and put it up, unedited, and call it a battle report. That’s like being asked to summarize a book, then coming in and reading the whole book to the class.

I would like to see more abridged reports like this. To be honest, having shorter videos is much more palatable than a 3 hour long video. Not to compare you to other channels, but it's the reason Play on Tabletop and GW's Warhammer+ feature BatReps that are trimmed down to 30-40 minutes.

Catachan are not the useless troops some have made out, with both Straken and "Send in the next wave." Interesting.

Running at least 40 of them to make space and start scoring primary asap seems to be a very strong option in almost every guard list. Straken can bully a wide range of things, too. They are an excellent tool in the toolbox at the very least.

Astra Militarum and Death Guard are my favorites so this was an awesome battle report. This has inspired me to try some of the following: A) I think the plague marine units if given even one/two plague spewer would have cleared out the catachans faster. B) I agree that Hellbrute doesn't seem that great even though on theory, it seems great at spreading the contagion. Maybe try Foetid B. Drones instead? C) Adding some virions could increase efficiency of some units. Like Tallyman and that +1 hit. D) I know nobody takes the contagion about of reducing OC but in this scenario where the Catachans have raced to the middle, this could deny them primaries if your units can get there? Can't tell if that would have made a difference.

"Always comes down to the guard tanks!" Pure infantry guard Freudian slip? 😁 Lambasting aside, excellent report. Especially the meat of it. I felt like I got the unit impact play by play despite the "short" run time. I do watch one and two hour reports, the length cuts down on consumption. This was a good pace. Effective delivery, and I can watch more before I have to get up for work.

I loved the new format for this battle report. Great armies, great contestants, great minds thinking alike. As a Catachan wannabe, I can now take hope for the future of the Guard (even if my Catachan Sergeants cannot take bolt pistols and chainswords etc.) Go Straken, Go Catachan...FOR THE EMPEROR!

Is reinforcements not limited to once per turn? re: 22:30ish

Each stratagem can be triggered once per phase, not turn. So he lost one in the shooting phase and the other in the fight. So long you have the CP you can do it that way.
