I just built my first website using this video as a base. It’s not as simple as it’s made out as not everything looks the same on the page editor as the website. Thanks for the video and all the help it’s given me.

I agree with John Howlett, it is not as simply as it seems. And what I see on the page builder does not match up with what I see on the tutorial. It is taking me a long time to figure out some things. I will stay with it and move forward as best I can. I am a newbie and not a tech person. Thank you.
I at first was so overwhelmed but this video is amazing for several reasons. Kay is full of energy, yes he moves fast but you can always pause and rewind. The video is very helpful as to the steps to take to get started, to get familiar and if you pay attention and follow his steps, they are correct using word press. I can't speak for any other platform. Thank you so much for this awesome video Kay!!!
I'm halfway thru, not a teckie AT ALL, but so far, it's taken lots of pauses & repeating, but I've made it to the Header builder, and for some reason, at the bottom where the gray space is to place the buttons, I only get a blue strip inviting me to upgrade - I've done this process several times, and that's all I get - the upgrade is distracting, and as a total newbie wanting only the simplest site at the present time, I don't need an upgrade, as I barely understand this. But it's a very helpful video, and I wouldn't have been able to build it at all if not for this video, so thank you very much.
Thank you for this very informative video. However, I have a strange but very important question for me. Can you tell me how you do the zooms at 20:04 min., or what do you use to record your screen? When I record something in 4K and zoom in, it never looks as sharp as yours. I would be grateful if you could enlighten me on this. Thank you very much.

thanks for the video! it's really helpful. There's just one thing I cant figure out: How do I set the presetted background picture from the homepage (which is also visible behind the transparent header) to the other pages I have? On the other pages the headers background is just plain whtie and I really cannot find out.. :(

Thanks for a great video. If I have a few features on my website - coaching, a store, blog, access to my videos and books, do I go with a multipurpose theme? If so, the multipurpose themes I found don't have anything in the footer. Can I create the footer with the widget you showed in the video? Also can I add a video on my home page to explain the different elements of my website? Lastly, if I want an online store, do I select an ecommerce starter template or a multi purpose and add the store?
I love that this theme gives us so much control over fonts, headers, paragraph spacing, etc. Watching this video helped me change almost all the things I couldn't figure out on my own. Thank you! By the way, Loren looks much more relatable than Kyle. ;-)

Thank you so much for your purchase! Do you mean you'd like to install a new Starter Template? It is always advised to start from a fresh install when installing a new Starter Template.

Looked at the video and while everything. works perfect here for me in reality nothing did. Not only logo and writing was misplaced, everything else was almost imposible to move, and there is no clear explanation how to change images in themes and plugin templates. the worst after used a plug in on astra when i went to try and chose difrent themes expecting everything will look difrent with a difrent theme the plug-in template lingered around over a new theme. Three hours later still in a mess of themes and plugind and nothing is moving forward in adition to server is breaking down.
Hi, i like your teaching videos very much! i made my first wp-website with astra, but i got a problem where i found no solution (without changing the code), only a lot of questions of other user.: all pages exept the home page have a whiteisch border between the header and the page on the frontend. how can i remove that border? i had the same problem with different astra-websites, and when i chage the theme, this border diappears. what can i do in astra?
Hey Barbara, thank you for the kind comment! Glad You enjoy the videos :) Regarding your issue, try this: in Appearance > Customizer > Header Builder, you will see at the bottom of the screen the header builder with 3 rows. Click on the gear icon on the left of the Primary Header row (middle row), then in the left panel, click on the "Design" tab -> you will find the option to customise the border (size & color). If you are using a transparent header, go to Appearance > Customizer > Header Builder, then still in the left panel, click on the "Design" tab -> you will find the option to customise the border (size). Hope this helps!
@@BrainstormForce hi! thanks a lot for answering so soon! i found what you tell me, but it did not change the border. when i change the theme, it looks as intended (without border) but when i change back to astra, it reappears... but this does not matter, i can just take a different theme (and even get a sticky header). thanks a lot anyway!

Hi Robert, every web hosting may have different procedures, but you could also use a plugin such as Wp Reset. Be aware it will wipe out all of the content of your current website, but as we understand, that is what you are trying to achieve.
Hi On the product page, next to the product price, I see the inscription +free shipping. I haven't set up any free shipping in the store I'm building. How can I cancel the inscription + free shipping? Sure, just scroll down on the following link and download the free version: wpastra.com/pricing/ or if you already have WordPress installed just go to Themes > Add New and you should see Astra on the first page (or just type Astra in the search field on that page), then click "Install" then "Activate".

How do i import my own starter website? I didn’t find that option after installing astra, and being able to import my own starter site was the main reason why i installed the astra theme.
I already purchased the Astra Pro license. Now it seems that in order to use the starter templates, I must make another (few-hundred-dollar) purchase. Is that correct?

why is there no option in the customizer for a sticky image. i want that when i scroll down to the description the image stays sticky over the length of the summary
Outdated. There is no "Starter Templates" in my Astra installation list. Had to manually find it, and wen installed it doesn't show any templates, zero results found for any category :(
08:07 Changing the size of the logo doesn't work well on mobile. Small sizes are not reachable. (On desktop, they are) 10:13 Changing the site backgroung color (#FFEDE6), as you show it, doesn't work anymore. The palette with all the colors disappears when you scroll down.
Have hit a major issue following this guide. After creating a template through astra and using elementor as the website builder i am completely unable to edit or delete the newsletter subscribe form that came with the template. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hey, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your website. Have you tried going in Wp Admin to Settings> Reading? Then you will see the option "Your homepage displays". There you have 2 options (radio buttons): - either showing your blog on the homepage - or showing a static page If you want to show a static page, select this option, and in the dropdown, select the page that should be shown when opening your website. Hoping this helps!

Once you've have downloaded the Astra Pro Addon: 1 - go to plugins > add new > then click on "Upload plugin" and select your Astra Pro Addon Zip file 2 - once installed click on "Activate" 3 - next, go to Astra > Dashboard and in the top right corner click on "Licence not activated, then paste your license and click "Activate"

The pace of this video is very frustrating. It’s much too repetitive and and excessively wordy. I wish you would just show us the steps without all the extra commentary. The video could be five minutes long
