flutter is compressor surge. its air being passed back through the turbo cause it cant move forward due to the throttle plate being closed. hense why BOV are fitted :)
@jalatesta Best place is from the fuel pressure regulator. That's where the video shows me T-ing off the vacuum line. This line is manifold pressure and will be what your BOV requires.
Basically it means the inlet to the throttle is consistent rather than being narrowed down like on the standard plenum. It does hurt performance a bit if everything else is standard, there's a little more lag a bit like when you install a bigger intercooler. I only had it installed for a few months. I was planning more mods but never got around to it.
Hey Chris, have you still got your Astra? I have a TS SRI Turbo in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Was wondering if you think the larger plenum is worth it?
Hey, yep still got it. Sadly not had the time or money to work on it anymore. If you're planning on tuning and getting loads of power out of the engine or you want a different look, then it's probably worth it. I personally went back to standard.
ok, why did you end up going back to standard, it currently has a dump pipe with full exhaust, front mount cooler a tune and few other things. It boost to around 17ish psi. Goes pretty well.
