The choreography is fire; it's so powerful. I can feel the immediacy of trying to escape the grasp of a relationship that is both intoxicating and abusive; I feel like the multiplication of the dancer represents different attempts at making a new life, each one unique and stronger than the last. And your gaze looks so fierce; it pores into the depths of your viewers' souls with a message of how much pain you've gone through in the course of this song's subject, which in my reading is a difficult relationship you're finally able to exit thanks to working hard on your self-esteem and your artistry. At least that's how I would interpret it, reader reception theory and all that; this is a very empowering song to any listeners who've ever gone through an abusive relationship. It shows someone strong enough to leave, strong enough to assert their worth. And it's beautifully done.
