A while back @AstroTools sent me a mystery box and told me I couldn't open it until they gave me the secret code. When I hit 498K subs they revealed the code. The code happen to be "4980." How ironic 😏 -Enjoy!
Congratulations, out of all of these RU-vid and our Intagram comments you've won the 498K - the only other one in existence! Please reach out to us at (removed, 4x4Scout reached out, thanks!)
"In local Avoca news today... A mild earthquake has been reported. The epicenter was reportedly near South Main Auto. More information as it becomes available"
I didn't think that an air tool could be life changing, until I finally bought an Astro Nano 1822. She is a stout little bugger for sure! On another note, I heard a few videos ago that you were trying to find a family-friendly way of describing how busy you were. My go-to has been to say "I'm busier that a three-legged cat trying to cover up crap on a marble floor!" I look forward to the newer, bigger nastier getting put through the paces!
Astro Tools aren’t made for the “tool polishers,” their only pretty once then the gloves come off and the bare knuckle fight begins and nothing stands in the way with “Big Nasty “ in your hands. Congratulations Eric on 498k, 🎉🎉🎉for keeping us all entertained and teaching us so much along the way! 🍺
Thanks so much for turning me on to Astro Tools, I have several of their products (Nano sockets, air ratchet, air chuck, etc) and like them all! They have all served me well in my job as a Toyota technician.
Being a money miser (tightass) I migrated to Astro over the tooltruck air tools and never had an issue with them. If something broke all it took was a call and in short order I had what I needed to fix the problem. Astro took good care of their customers. They actually listened to our comments and concerns. I became a loyal customer cuz of that. Still have a three-eighths and a half-inch impact from the red tool dealer (Snappy Tools if ya get the drift) that have not been used since they were bought. Anywho love yer vids and look forward to every new one (you keep me up to date since I've retired from the public). Greetings from Nastyville,Tennisshoe, home of the no-rust under carriage (yeah right, keep on telling yerself that). Hope you and yours stay safe, maybe the new year will be better for us all God willing..... See Ya!!.......
No fancy quip, just glad there was a video after a long day. I use mine nearly every day. Trying to push kingpins today! Looks awesome! Thanks Eric for bring us along!
Astro dude definitely watches the videos, actually seems to appreciate the content. This kind of genuine personalized contribution from a big company is super rare, I don't think I've seen it before.
I remember showing a old timer/shop Forman who was swinging a hammer to get a wheel bearing out how to use a air hammer to get it out. The look of confusion to enjoyment was priceless. Funny how much more respect I got from him after he’s was over there beating on it for five minutes and I walk over and in 30 seconds I’m walking away saying work smarter not harder.
That's awesome from a great tool company. Congrats on all of your subs. I love to watch all of the new and old content. You have saved a lot of us (including myself) a lot of money over the years.
Very cool indeed. My wife and I got a house &10 acres WITH A NICE SHOP BUILDING on it. I’ve been adding to my tool collection so I can rebuild/restore the old commercial/light industrial equipment I’ve been getting to restore the property (bought from a 94 year old widow so you can guess the state of the property.) I’ve been picking up some of Eric O’s tool suggestions from his Amazon store page to bolster my tool collection. My current air hammer is a Horrible Freight cheapie. Been thinking of an upgrade but too many other priorities...like remodeling the house then caring for my wife before she passed last October. Shop work has been therapeutic ever since. Hopefully I’ll get more quality time out there soon...no lack of projects.
Love that Astro Tools knows Eric's subscribers and that they make awesome quality tools at a fair price. I bought their full service ball joint press kit after seeing Eric's experience with their products and couldn't be happier. I would love a big nasty of my own! Would give me an excuse to upgrade the air compressor.
I appreciate Astro not waiting for the 500k rush when everyone will be sending cakes and after shave and stuff. 498k....this thoughtfulness will never be lost in the rush.
I think it was the fact that the og big nasty part number is 4980. So they waited for the 498k subscribers to present him with the bigger and nastier version.
That's awesome, Eric! Congrats on the half million subs! You've came a long way, baby! You'll keep going up for sure. Looking forward to seeing The Bigger-Nastier in action soon.
Your catch phrase, "If I can do it, you can do it" really inspired me to tackle tougher jobs and has saved me a lot of money. Your channel has shown me how to better diagnose problems and the importance of having the right tools for the job. (I bought my first Astro Pneumatic tool, a 204 ONYX die grinder and wonder how I ever got along without one.) Thanks Eric.
Astro Tools is a great company to do this for you / us !!!!! Going from Big Nasty to "" Bigger Nastier "". Now them rusty, seized, impossible to come apart jobs will be a "" Piece of Cake "". Plus the FREE publicity is great for them too !!!!!!! Let's get to one of them many SMA ball bustin, knuckle scraping, goggle wearing jobs and breeze right through it now with the "" 498K "" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is slicker than owl sh*t!!!! so stinking cool!!!! I agree with you.... Astro tools are among the very best tools to use. They really engineer them right.
That's epic! I've been using the astro 4980 for years now for heavy duty work and she never fails me. Cant imagine a bigger and nastier! You deserve that special tool, because you work so hard and you teach all of us so much.
Nice one Eric. Love the content and congrats to 500k. Sweet stuff that Astro provided. They seem really chill. If I would not be in europe I might pick up something from them. Stay safe and keep up the nice work.
500K right now, congrats everyone at sma, and its nice for astro to make that for you, I always wanted one of those long black cob led lights they made but couldn't find them here in the uk.
This is a work of art. I have only found out about Astro tools and I like what I see I will be getting some soon. There is something special about getting out the old air hammer. Thanks for the great video, I have learned a lot from them. You are a wonderful teacher. Bring on the Bigger nasty I am ready!!!!
That looks like the dogs B's Eric , we dont really have Astro over here in the UK, put we sure would use one , that is so good of Astro to do that for you and congratulations on 498000 plus subs , your channel is as it is and as it should be in our job , no fur coats , just real life motor trade, well done to you and Vanessa , hope you enjoyed your short Vacation (holiday as we say ) , you deserve it , take care
Nice gift always a good day when you get new tools . and you should always have a vacation you seem to work alot to get your customers in and out no matter how long you have to stay late . always a pleasure to watch your videos and the knowledge that you share
Love companies that can appreciate different forms of marketing. What better way to show off your tools than to give them to a hard working shop to use.
That's nice of them to do that. You give them enough plugs and the tools are good otherwise you would not use them. Enjoy beating things with your new tool.👍👍😁
"Big Nasty" just met its daddy? Whoa...."Let's go hit something--Now!" And, Eric, you have to come up with a new "Big Nasty 2" intro Music ASAP! AC/DC inspired if possible! Congrats on your new Tool! Great Job Astro--love your tools-here in Apache Land, Arizona!
Five hundred thousand subscribers now. Congratulations Mr and Ms O. 👍 That deserves at least an ice cream. I suggest some timpani strokes, at the appearence of "Big Nasty 498K". 😎
It is neat to see Chris/Astro Pneumatic Tool Company be active with SMA/RU-vid and Garage Journal and interact with the product users. Astro Pneumatic Tool Company's products, quality, economy, and service should make them a first consideration in a tool purchase.
Off topic, but my favorite comment from a show has been from Mrs. O, " If he can do it, you should ....give it a try!" Doing this work right takes years to develop, but watching you gives us a shot at it coming out right. Thanks so much for all of the knowledge and showing the process of diag. I know talk is cheap, but I'm ordering a hoodie for Xmas! Take it easy and merry Christmas to all the SMA team.
OMG SMA , go give her the beans. I don't think my little air compressor could blow enough up her skirt, less power that beast. Love all you do man. From Idaho.
Hey Eric! Congratulations man!!! I always love watching your videos and specially when you bring out the brake cleaner (with sound), Fluid Film (with sound) and Big Nasty (with sound). But this looks like it's even nastier... 😲😲😲 God bless!
