I really enjoyed this video. I agree, taking the right steps and having the right tools plus patience helps me when I work on my '97 S-10 regular cab. Just to change the starter on the 2.2 four-banger means dropping the transmission brace, unbolting the exhaust from the header, removing the tranny inspection plate, the heat shield, the starter back brace and then spending the next hour getting the old one out of the bell housing and the new one back in all the while losing my eyeglasses every two minutes and misplacing my tools!
Great Video Mike. Being totally alone camping in the Parashant last 23 days, this brings me Back. Decompression, takes a week or more then Reality Hits with all this News & What s What. Thanks.
Thanks Mike for showing us an educating us on the engine repair. Mechanical work is high no matter where you live, and $900.00 isn't bad at all getting the repair done..💯
Same on my rig...1997 express van...but I just put 2 bottles of Lucas....much better...after losing 200k because of a rigged stock market..i have to cut corners
The timing cover is super easy it is a one time use cover and while its off you should plan on a timing chain tensioner as I have yet to pull a 4.3 with a balance shaft that wasn't sloppy I spent 25 yrs in the oil business they no exactly how it is made and the reason we did not hit the peak oil point is we found a new way to get it called hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling and the price is basically the same as any commodity supply and demand and manipulation by traders
Thank you for bringing up the forbidden subject. especially if you are a person that is not anti-oil. Onto the subject of Hydrogen as an energy source and replacement for gas / fuel. Hydrogen is very hard to contain because of it's low boiling point. Hydrogen must be stored in very high pressure vessels at very low temperature. That's an issue. But it does not mean it can't be done. Peace.
Bob Lazar figure it out some time ago - The tech is easier already, but watch this and check out the description under that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ytg23mDd1a4.html
@@AstroVanTribe I watched it. Hydrogen extraction is easy. Bob Lazar pretty much uses electrolysis to extract the hydrogen. I do this when I electroplate. That's why you vent when you electroplate. What I did not know was his method of hydrogen storage, using Hydride metal which he explained is not easy to get hold of. And who has a particle accelerator. There must be an absorption factor in hydride metal. Sorry, thinking out loud. Peace.
I caught that Tin Man qoute. I have a rare photo of the Wicked Witch laying waste to the Munchkins as my phone wallpaper. Yep, still acting like a kid, even in my 50's.
You're exactly right you should never try to change anything that engineers have worked years to make research and develop just put it back the original way it was
Oh, my gosh! I do a lot of walking too, Michael ,and I have developed the same problems in both my left and now I think my right foot. In fact, I have a podiatrist appointment August 5. I’ve been watching a lot of RU-vid videos on what to do and how to treat it. My mom had a neuroma so I’m wondering if it’s being passed down onto me. I am very active. I do hot yoga and I walk three times a week if not more with a weighted vest. And if you have any tips, Michael, I sure would like to hear from you. I’ve watched many many RU-vid videos. Yes I did watch that oil waterfall video. Very very interesting. She always has crazy fines. How many miles do you walk?
I'm actually new here. I was looking around YT on how to install different seats in my van just to see how people have done it. I have a 98 RWD Astro and stumbled upon your channel. I realized you have a manual trans! Something I've been wanting to do! Can you please go over that with me so I can get a idea on what I can do? I also like the other things you were talking about, and if I dig thru your videos, I can find some good stuff, I'm sure, just about different topics in general. Subscribing thanks!
On a V6 you must drop the oil pan. Nice a clean under the engine now. As for crude oil. I rather go with the man who says "drill baby drill" here than an idiot who wants ONLY electric vehicles to be sold by 2035. There isn't any supporting infrastructure for it to be done that fast. Mybe 2050 , but there would have to massive tax increases to build fueling kiosks in the whole state let alone the whole country.
