I am NOT saying guru is wrong about cats being Rahu and dogs being Ketu. But the way I see it is Cats have more Ketu personality qualities (introverted, private, reclusive, mysterious, detached, goes unnoticed) and dogs have more Rahu personality qualities (extroverted, outgoing, networking, loves to explore, loves ATTENTION, get jealous, noisy, want a more more and more). But the common understanding is what Guru said.

What can be gifted - new clothes, used clothes after dry clean , plants , money , bags , sweets , untensiles made of copper,silver ,gold, brass , books, itar which doesn’t have alcohols . As per some shastras, keeping pets kills your punya. I have heard Jyotirmuth Shankaracharya saying this. Never keep animal pets. you can feed stray animal btw.

If we go so much indepth we will be in doubt always. I personally feel our intention should be pure n kind while we gift someone. And if we get something in gifts just pray n purify the energy in it. 🙏

This would cut down 110% of the gifting options.. Options reduces down only to sweets, plants , fruits, and ittar😢😢😢

In south India we generally give fruits, coconut, sweets , flowers , plants , cloths , sindoor and glass bangles . Glass bangles are not Rahu. Perfumes , chocolates , leather bags , alcohol electronic home appliances, mobile phone are Rahu, steel iron , oil , til are saturn. We don't give oil, salt and pickle on Tuesdays . We don't give cash on Tuesday and Friday. We don't gift things or cloths in black colour. We don't give dry fruits.

OMG....so much of complexity can never be followed practically. The west never follows this way....but still they r doing good. If u are filling all this into daily mundane life....its so difficult. Last Jan.all thatKarma baggage.....all these calculations r beyond the real of human calculations.We should not bother too much excepting that keep ur mind and hear pure and truthful ASAP. Hello, I saw the interview. It's a good interview and you try to cover a wide range of topics but there are couple of observations and points which I would like to share 1) There is a marked difference between Gift and Donation both on the physical and spiritual plane so in my view you could have a different session for each. I would try to explain with the following points why I am saying so 2) Himanshuji has mentioned that Saturn Related items should not be given, for example shoes(Saturn) . I understand what he is saying that but assume the following scenario which is realistic - A person's business is going great. He is going to his office around 11:00 AM and saw an old man going barefoot on the coal tar road in the peak summer. He felt compassionate by looking at his condition as how he is moving barefooted. He thought of giving his used shoes to him so that he can get comfort. But a thought came to his mind that if I give my shoes saturn would not be favorable for me which can affect by business moving ahead so refrain from doing that and instead offer sweets(venus) to him which is there in car as well. - There is another person passing on the same road and his business as well is going well. He felt the same after looking at that person and decided to give his shoes out of compassion. He did that. Now the points to ponder, who would the old man bless the one who gives sweets or shoes? Would the business of the person donating shoes be in loss in future? Lord Saturn would be pleased by whom one who thinks about his business refrain from donation of his shoes or the one who donated that? Same point regarding steel items. Assume someone goes to distribute food items to poor people. One of the people there doesn't have any utensils to receive the food. There is a steel utensils shop nearby so should he purchase one steel plate and glass and give it to the person to receive the food and to drink water. Salt(saturn) is required everywhere where food is donated or in gurdwaras where Langar sewa is performed. A person suffering from dehydration doesn't have money at that time to buy salt/sugar so that he can make an ors solution and drink it. Somebody purchase the items for him, would this karma cause any negativity in the donors life? 3) The same point for Rahu related items for example perfume containing alcohol which i can understand. But think about a scenario. A poor person is suffering from a severe cough and respiratory issue and he needs a cough syrup(which normally contains 10 to 40% alcohol) to cure the disease. He can not purchase the cough syrup so if someone purchases cough syrup for him without thinking anything would he receive blessing from Lord rahu? You could please ask the above questions in any further interview with Himashuji. So at the end i would like to say anything given to a person in need(Charity and not gift) is good,independent of which planet represents that, if there is compassion behind it and it gives comfort to the other person. In the end, it is humanity, kindness and compassion greater than everything else. You have done a great Job by organizing such interviews. All the best.

I usually like Deepanshu's stuff, but a lot of this is totally rubbish. Not giving electronics or steel items, really? Not throwing away shoes when you're business is going well - give me a break. Giving anything with open heart and the person receiving being joyful provides a lot of punya - not "bad luck". None of this is in Shastra and is all made up.
