Astrology for witches SERIES | 1. Introduction 

Oooohhhh.....I’m so excited! First homework I’ve ever looked forward to, and a fun teacher,too! Thank you!

I started studying astrology a few years ago, but just bits and pieces..basically my brain glazed over on any information. This year i bought Benebell Wens course and finding it fascinating. But i wanted to say to anyone totally a newbie, is to buy Jasmin Bolands book “Astrology for Beginners “. It really put everything into place for me as a jumping point to continue to study. Its a follow along book and helped me so much! Its a quick read. My first book was “The only astrology book you ever need” but i felt kinda lost. Looking forward to catching up on all the videos i missed. And yes...the astrology podcast is really good. Just listening helps to absorb things you know nothing about if that makes sense.

Catching up late as always lol. I've never been much into Astrology before because I don't know my exact time of birth just a time period (evening not too early or too late). This makes it difficult to get accuracy in my chart for in-depth things and that frustrates me. A few years ago I did do a natal chart online and found that when I played with the times I could narrow it down even more. I then used the rising sign and looked at the before and after ones to rule out those which didn't apply and was able to get it down to within a couple of hours in the evening. I left it at that... Lately though with some of your channel discussion on astrology and tarot as well as Crimson Fyre's Witchyscopes, I have found a new interest in it and wanting to see how it affects me on various different levels. I look forward to this series!!!

This is awesome, Jess! I don't know much about astrology. I was first introduced to it from like newspaper and magazine horoscopes. lol My grandmother loved to read the horoscopes. Once I got into witchcraft, I learned so much more, obviously. I have looked at my natal chart. I have a bit of understanding. I know about the houses and while I don't have them memorized on what each area is, I know they each have an area of life they are connected to and I can look it up. I know the houses, signs, and planets all interact in a certain way. I can get the basics of each part individually but the interactions between them overwhelm me - like something conjuct something or trine or something like that. I am a Gemini sun, Taurus moon, and Virgo rising. I know my chart is dominated by air - Libra and Gemini are the most frequent appearances in my chart. Earth is next. I do identify with air characteristics quite often and I feel the Earthiness as well, as I think it grounds me and lends to me Gemini dual personality thing. lol My introvertedness comes from the Earth signs as well, I feel, as Gemini's tend to be social butterflies. Anyway, I love this series already! I can't wait to learn from you!

I'm learning about decans and how they correspond to Tarot cards at the moment. So if you have anything planned for that further down the road, that would be cool! Looking forward to seeing the continuation of this either way! ✨

A tip for people who cant find out their exact time of birth: use the exact moment of sunrise for your date (and location!) of birth. This is also a valid chart, but works like this: the world and your life through your eyes. Whereas your real time of birth gives a more objective impression of your journey on this planet. I wouldnt reckommend using 12 noon because it’s totally random and has no personal meaning.

I'm really looking forward to this and I love your proposed approach. I have a copy of my birth chart, but no idea how to read it. :P And I'm also learning tarot, so I am loving that you'll be interweaving those two areas. Yay!

I love this! Astrology is so vast, complicated and fascinating. One of my dearest soul sisters is well versed and has blown my brain box open with it many times. She uses (as do I) Astro.com as well. 🌙⭐️☀️🌕
