Hi Ben, there is no feeling like the one that you experience when all the technology works together. It is a eureka moment for sure, really good video from a genuine guy, thanks for contributing to this hobby it is very much appreciated.
Thankyou very much for giving me the chance to try it out mate. It's such a nice thing you have done and I'm going to try and make the most of it. Hope all is well on your side.
Cheers Glenn. Are you having a binge watch of my videos mate? Thanks for watching though It is very much appreciated. This was a point in time where my learning curve took a massive jump. I will most likely in the future end up using this or something like this, and also the ASIAir, set up depending. I would imagin it would work well in your Astrobus! Clear Skies mate!
Hey Ben! - Huge thanks for the shout-out there mate, I appreciate it! - I have to say that really looks like a neat setup, I've recently been toying with the idea of changing my main rig over to just an ASIair type rig to simplify setup as much as possible, which this setup you're using is seeming to do also! the less faffing around the better in my opinion :D Loved the setup anyway mate, a lot of effort again to put something like this together and have it all make sense, my hat is off to you! - I'm sure a lot of people will benefit from your work here though! Great job as always, Clear skies mate :-)
No worries Luke. Just saying the truth, your data did help me and if others can benifit too then awesome. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out with this mini PC, it looks promising, I'm very lucky to be able to try it out. You know, I sometimes think am I doing too much on the videos but it's me all over, the creative side always wins. I suppose when I enjoy something I tend to do the best I can. To be honest i'm not a tech person so this one was a challenge. Thankyou very much for a great comment, i'm truly grateful
Nice set up. IOptron developed really great mounts for total integration. Cem40-NUC will be perfect for you. You will get powerful NUC which will keep you happy.
Hi Ana Many thanks for the comment. Just looked at the CEM40 there. Looks like a nice mount with a good payload and some great features. A little out of my price range at the moment, mayby something for the future. I have just recently started using the ASIair Plus which is yet to apear on the channel. However once I build my Obsevatory I may look at something with NUC. Thanks for the advice. Clear Skies!
Thanks James. This move has been going on for well over a year now, sort of stuck in limbo. The mini PC is something I had never heard of. I love how small it is. I might as well give it a go, it hasn't really cost me anything to try out. See how it all goes over the next couple of month.
I hope it will help people Joe. I always wonder If anythig I say in a video is going to make sense and be helpfull. You are most likely aware there are many ways to do this. I thought I'd give this way a go, as it's been very kindly sent out to me, I have nothing to lose really. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on a few of my videos today I very much appreciate it mate!!! Clear Skies
Just wondering if you ever get interference patterns on your images using that Minipc. I have a starlight xpress ultrastar that suffers terribly from interference coming from the stick pc. Ever have issues like this?
Hi Tony. To be honest I have never noticed anything unusual. When I have used my mini PC it has been attached either on the bottom of the tripod leg or on the accessory tray. Don't know if that makes a difference the only thing I can think of is a damaged or loose cable somewhere or a power issue. There may be something else causing the issue that is not related to the PC or any part of the rig. Apart from that I wish I could offer more on this but hope that helps you!
Hi. I'm currently looking a for a small cheap pc to replace my aging asiair. These compute sticks look good apart from the atom CPUs. How are they in use? Are they sluggish or ok running, eqmod, Nina PhD etc
Hi Michael. To be honest I am using the ASIair + and love the whole ease of use that comes with it. I found the stick PC a little slow. More so when I connected it wireless. I did work ok-ish and ran everything but if I was going to run NINA again...Which I will be at some point with my Observatory, I would be looking at doing a hard connection or invest in a mini PC with a bit more punch.
Hi there Thanks for watching and the input about the audeo....Sorry about that. To be honest it's one of my earlier videos, I think I have a few where the sound is dodgy. Clear Skies!
Awesome… I’m a happy EQ6 R Pro owner as well, and plan the same improvement towards lazier runs… As a non-native English speaker, may I suggest to low or even remove the background music, a bit disturbing to understand you. Clear skies!
Thanks for letting me know Jean. I will address the music/speaking ratio, as I do try to improve the quality of the videos every time. If you are struggling then others may be too. I wont remove it but will see if I can get a better balance. Clear Skies!
@@CosmuzzAstro Try using a ducker to have the music "duck" every time your mic picks up your voice talking. Tweak the settings a bit and you wont notice the sound going in and out but your voice will be much more audible.
I had never had that problem when I used it. I did on occassion loose wifi connection. To be honest I have no Idea why the driver would be crashing. It has been a while since I used this on my rig actualy. Im using the ASIair now. I would personally redownload the drivers start from scratch then go from there. Perhapse one program doesn't agree with another. Could be a power issue. Also camera specs is one to look out for. It may not like working with other bits of kit or programs. Could be a simple recheck of all the settings, that usually gets me.
