They can also win two out of three against a contending team like the Blue Jays and almost sweep that series. And that's without FIVE key starting pitchers. When some of those guys come back, then the Astros will be rolling again.

@@martyklestadt6766 I don't think Astros have the pitching this year. Verlander wasn't that great last season and neither was Framber. Who is coming back? McCuellers hasn't pitched in over 215 innings. He hurts his arm before he gets 3 starts. He's done and Astros need to get him off the payroll. There's no one in the organization they can bring up. They will have to bide their time and maybe pick up a free agent or trade but it's still undaunting because they need at least 2 good starters and need them before they fall too far in the basement. The Astros are in last place behind even the lowly A's. By the All Star break I'm hoping I have to eat my words. Go Astros!!!!

as an o’s fan, i love to see this. the royals played VERY well against us in our first series, it’s possible the kansas city not-chiefs (lol) could be a playoff-caliber team in 2024. and it’s also nice to see fanbases supporting other fanbases, especially with how vitriolic sports fans in general can sometimes be!

Astros aren't doing anything wrong, other than not being able to keep FIVE key starting pitchers healthy. Once some of those guys come back, we'll be fine. Offense will eventually start to do better at driving in runs with guys on base, and the bullpen will get better too. So let's give credit to the Royals for their great start so far.

​@martyklestadt6766 that's still not going to help them in the long run, you have to win early games, how many times has it been proven just a couple key losses early in the season can effect postseason standings, position, home field, or simply not making it all, yeah they will right the ship, but what good is that gonna do if you're 20 games back before the midway point of the season

@@DAYWOKR They won't be that far back by then. Plus, they've started slowly the last several years and it hasn't hurt them at all yet. What you said might be true for most teams, but the Astros have proven that it doesn't seem to affect them.

I don't know if the Royals are that good, but the Astros definitely aren't that bad. Some of our FIVE starting pitchers that are injured will return soon. The hitters will shortly be knocking in runs again with guys in scoring position, and the bullpen will be better also.
