We have a few air vents and week spots that would help in case of an explosion but the primary deterrence is the venturi set up that keeps flow going the right direction.
Thats great guys - your getting a feel for the technology - a lot better then my first attempt. But I am onto Biomass to Liquid now - so the fuel can be storred and used in a diesel engine or generator. The trick is turing the bio crude into the correct diesel fraction by way of fractional distilation. Good work you are doing - Lets Shut Down The Oil Companies !
@@twonulator well my research led to a thing called thermo depolymerization. All of humanities energy problems can be solved easily. I did not have the funding to continue research but it was fun learning about it. Now I'm working with geopolymers.
These were my thoughts exactly! I chucked when at 1:45 he says "You can see, we're getting some really clean lookin'... hot fire in there." The flames should be white and blue which shows a much cleaner burn with less pollutants.
Well, This was a school project at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I am no longer a student and the grant funding for this project has run out. There are a few interested parties trying to keep it alive.
Whats funny is for being a premade setup and u just put it together the flame on it sure sucks way too much yellow witch is water and i can see orange in the flame witch is tar passing threw the filters. The colors you want to see are white and blue white being hydrogen and blue the methane and other cleaner burning gasses. This just shows me im glad i never wasted the cash on the GEK unit i just made my own.
do you have a backfire prevention? I had a large size (2x 55 gallon drum) and it backfired once it sounded like a bomb went off might want to think about that. check out my site link on my channel.
This is a GEK (Gasifier Experimental KIT) that was purchased and then assembled. Don't be fooled into thinking that meant putting a few bolts together. There were hours of welding and fabricating involved. I agree there should be an internal collar to help funnel wood chips. We often had problems with wood chips "Bridging"
