Agree! I have the same experience! I love my ally so much. the issue in SD card reader has been resolved on my 2 allys after I RMA them. Asus support is amazing! I have gpd win max 2, steam deck LCD and ayaneo 2s. Ally is the best of them all!

Great content as always! I have to admit your video for best GTA5 settings brought me back to it on my ROG Ally and it is perfect when using my Rokid Max glasses at 120hz...keep up the great videos!!

I've hadine since the first couple days after launch. Haven't had any major malfunctions that weren't caused by me. I love that i can do everything on one system eliminating my need for a laptop or desktop pc

Hey Pete! I completely agree. The speakers on the Ally are hands down the best speakers on any of the handhelds currently on the market. I only use my Ally for FPS games that require anti cheat (which is rare for me), and I'm always playing with it plugged in when I do use it.

How much can you play while charing your rog ally and dose it damage/effect the battery??

@@roze2096the ally have a build in mode where as though it will charged your battery to 80 percent stop charging it and send the power directly to your device.

Yes its better the z1 extreme is capable of raytracing. The gpu is on par with a gtx 1650.

With the ability to use inexpensive 2280 SSDs with the use of a cheap right angle adapter, I couldn't care less about the SD card issue. A 1tb slow SD card cost roughly the same as a 2tb 2280 SSD.

When I first touched the Ally in the Best Buy display and thought this is terrible they changed the display when I went on black Friday. But I think it's not very comfortable It took a while to get used to holding it and felt very heavy. After some use It felt fine but it feels like I was holding all the weight with my finger tips. After a week I got the Skol n Co grip and everything changed the weight disappeared and the comfort level is top tier!

Hey Tyrone, great question! Personally I’d say go for it, as the Ally 2 may not release for several more years for all we know, but you get whatever handheld suits your needs the best!

just sold mine for half what I paid .. never mind . I brought an Xbox X with that cash....zero regrets seeing Forza Motorsport in 4k with performance on. would I buy the next gen hand held....yes maybe if it comes with a rtx4090 built in I would....if it's built in graphic like these gens are ...no chance. 720p is 15 years ago

720p upscaled to 1080 on a 7 inch is super clear get your eyes check lol 4k is for big screens small screens don’t need 4k.

@@Hotcatfish1Just curious why? Have you used the Rog ally and the Legion Go? Is there a reason you support the Go more? I'm stuck between the two and my main issues with the Go are there is no VRR, the display is portrait and the firmware issues. Just curious how you have found these issues as I really want the larger display and detachable controls but fear the novelty of that will soon be over when I'm struggling where I wouldn't with the Ally.

The go sucks whats the point of 144hz without vrr? And the software sucks it may age like fine wine but right now the legion go is not it.

Since this is windows, these will be a crowded market by next year. At the price, SD OLED has better longevity during this span. Microsoft will likely make their own handheld and as PC owners know, the tech changes so rapidly, they'll have something new in a few months that blows this away.

There is a RU-vidr who documented his SD card RMA after hearing about the Revision he sent his in and found out through documentation that "THE ENTIRE MOTHERBOARD WAS REPLACED" and has had no more issues! SO PLEASE THEY REALLY DO HAVE A FIX SO RUN THOSE SD CARDS, RMA THOSE ISSUES. IT MAKES IT BETTER FOR THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE WE ALL BENEFIT IN THE END!!

Don’t get one. Still has quality issues. I bought one a few weeks ago and it worked fine until the right joystick stopped working properly. It would only work up and down. Returned it and got a replacement. Two DAYS later….exact same issue. Returned that one and got money back.

The first one i bought was a z1 i got it open box the left analog stick only went up and down. I exchange it and got the z1 extreme now and everything is working flawlessly.

Wait till FSR 3 launches, then you can play AAA games on 15W with good frame rates that can last you 2 hours battery life or even 10W for 3 hours+ if you can accept 40ish framerate.

That's fair! I thought the same but trying AAA games I found out that sometimes you reaaally need the extra punch the Ally offers and left me wondering if the Steam Deck being weaker can give the extra needed... and I'm always in bed next to a power outlet lol

@@BigBossZUCOi know this post is old i just got a ally and i be wondering why the f**k people expect to run AAA games for 3 hours on a handheld when those same game pushes a full desktop 🤣🤣🤣 battery is not a issue my desktop setup is right next to my bed so I’m usually plugged in. The luxury of not having to sit at my desk is better than playing on the go.
