Great Motherboard!!! I’m absolutely satisfied with this motherboard! It’s able to handle most if not all modern tasks I throw at it. Perfect for a just above budget pc build. Currently I’m running this motherboard with a Ryzen 5 5600x, Wraith Air Cooling Heatsink w/fan, xfx swft 210 rx 6650xt gpu, 2 sticks of 1tb each nvme 4.0 ssds, a singular sata 512gb ssd, 650watt psu, and it’s on windows 11.
Awesome video! I love this! I’m really wanting to pull the trigger on this board for my build. I gotta quick question. I’m not worried about blue tooth. But there’s a lot of bad reviews on connectivity on BT Ethernet and won’t recognize cpu fan.. have they fixed these issues in newest bios? Or is that still a thing for this board? This is only thing stopping me from buying… pls help! ❤
getting my first pc in april/may and i'm planning on this motherboard!! thank you so much for this video. it helped me a ton to get a closer look before buying :)
@@travismarkwardt9548 corsair 4000d!! fits great. what i don’t like about the motherboard is that i realized after i built it, that there are only 3 sys_fan pins. but a splitter may help
Can you get away with not screwing the ssd down to this mother because the rubber pieces that’s supposed to hold it stable is to big and the screws are to small and it bends the ssd
Gonna start my build today with this board. # on the board itself says 3404 for the bios version. So shouldn’t have any problems installing 5600x. Thanks for the vids on asus. You’re saving my life as I’ve picked asus as my brand. ❤
Great video! I'm currently trying to build a PC with a Ryzen 5 5600X. I'm trying to find a decent motherboard for it and I was wondering if this motherboard was worth it. The WiFi II is kind of useless to me since I'll be connecting it to an ethernet cable. I was wondering if there are any other motherboards better suited for my CPU?
What's your budget ? This one is currently 190€ where i live, but you can definitely get other b550 versions without wifi and bluetooth and those are a lot cheaper.
@@adoozadnoo4110 pretty low unfortunately. I found a motherboard that looks seemed pretty decent for the price, the MSI B550-A Pro, I might get it once I decide to actually build this PC lol.
also am getting this motherboard, does this really need to cmos update, i really hope not? because when i bought x5070 aorus master it just shows me black screen on display, i did everything and even cmos, still no luck.
I currently have a ASUS PRIME B450M-A motherboard with a Ryzen 5 2600 - Is this board going to be a viable upgrade ? And would I need jump to a Ryzen 7 ?
You could always jump to ryzen 7 if you wanted but you absolutely don’t need to. The socket of this motherboard is am4 so I would recommend a Ryzen 5 5600x or a Ryzen 7 5800x3d. Both have similar benchmarks when it comes to gaming. But the boost clock on the x3d performs a little better allowing you a difference of about 10-20 average frames compared to the overclocked 5600x.
hey, just wondering if this motherboard, the ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi II needs to use the antenna, I saw some reviews and they said that you don't need to but the connection is bad. I'm planning to use ethernet, would I have to use the antenna or not? Thanks
I have a question. I don't know if the BIOS that this board comes with is compatible with the Ryzen 7 5700G, I would like someone to clarify the doubt And another thing is that I plan to put that processor with an RTX 3070ti but I don't know how to change from integrated graphics to a dedicated graphics card. Help would be great.
If you go to the MSI website, you can find all the compatible processors there and which BIOS version is needed. As for the graphics card, once it's all connected, just plug your video cables into the graphics card rather than the motherboard.
@@NorthernVikingEveryday Please edit and correct your comment as ASUS website. This motherboard is ASUS ROG STRIX B550 F GAMING WIFI II and not an MSI motherboard.
Hi, I'm curious. The motherboard has a 8+4 slot for the CPU connector but currently my PSU only has a 8 pin connector. I've heard its okay to use just use a 8 pin connector, is this true? My current motherboard died on me and I'm trying to desperately get it replaced.
I've done bios updates on all of them to make sure they're up to date... I've got the x570 chipset and the b550 chipset. The x570 is faster. Also different boards have a variation of different ports, wifi, etc available.
So I got this motherboard and now when I try logging in it says I need to reset my pin but the issue with that is I can’t get any WiFi Everything else in the house even my ps4 with or without the lan cable But my motherboard doesn’t recognize or can see and sort of WiFi connection
just ordered this mobo about 10 mins ago because my current mobo (used from FB Marketplace MSI MEG B550 Unify-X) is having random blackscreens with a 00 debug code and I have no idea whats causing it. How is the wifi range on this mobo and does it have bluetooth? Also looking at the product page on Amazon the photos of the back of the mobo don't show connections for the wifi antenna and looking at the amazon reviews with photos none show the wifi antenna and the listing also doesn't show one being included in the box for some reason. Although it does show it on Asus's website.
It's a great motherboard, the Wi-Fi has good range and worked well from across my whole house. The connectors for the antenna are on the IO at the back.
Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E are both wireless networking standards that offer significant improvements over previous Wi-Fi versions. While they share some similarities, there are also key differences between them. Frequency Bands: Wi-Fi 6: It operates in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, similar to previous Wi-Fi versions. Wi-Fi 6E: It operates in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and an additional 6 GHz frequency band. The introduction of the 6 GHz band significantly expands the available spectrum and reduces interference, leading to higher performance and less congestion. Channel Availability: Wi-Fi 6: It has fewer available channels, especially in the 5 GHz band, which can result in more interference and congestion. Wi-Fi 6E: It benefits from the additional 6 GHz band, providing more available channels for devices to operate on. This reduces congestion and improves performance, especially in environments with many Wi-Fi devices. Speed and Throughput: Wi-Fi 6: It offers improved speeds and increased capacity compared to older Wi-Fi standards, with maximum theoretical speeds of up to 9.6 Gbps. Wi-Fi 6E: It provides similar speed and capacity enhancements as Wi-Fi 6 but benefits from the wider channels and reduced interference in the 6 GHz band, which can lead to even better performance. Device Support: Wi-Fi 6: It has been available since 2019 and is supported by a wide range of devices, including smartphones, laptops, routers, and other Wi-Fi-enabled devices. Wi-Fi 6E: It is a newer standard that was introduced in 2020. While it offers additional benefits, device support for Wi-Fi 6E is still relatively limited, and it may take some time before it becomes widely adopted. In summary, Wi-Fi 6E builds upon the foundation of Wi-Fi 6 by adding support for the 6 GHz band. This additional spectrum provides more available channels, less interference, and potentially better performance. However, due to its recent introduction, Wi-Fi 6E device support is still limited compared to Wi-Fi 6. It's worth noting that both standards represent significant improvements over older Wi-Fi versions and can provide faster, more reliable wireless connections.
tyckte dert var en riktigt dålig recension. inte ett ord om vilken m2 port som var den snabba eller att det finns olicka m2 portar. en pcie 4. eller pcie 3
In india The price of this board 1.(Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi II) AM4 platform and 2.Asus Rog Strix B660-F Gaming Wi-Fi D4 LGA1700 is almost same (22k) in Indian Rupees. Plz suggest me which one should i buy for my New PC
I need help, I have a 5800xd ASUS ROG Strix B550-F, I need bios version 2423, but it is no longer on the Asus website, the latest BIOS is 2604, and will the 5800x3d work with that last one?
New to pc building.. I just built a pc with this motherboard but having some difficulty locating the USB c port, does this motherboard not have one? Or do I need an extender?
ive got a troubleshooting question with this motherboard. ive built my new pc and everything is plugged in and appears to be receiving power, all the fans turn on and all the rgb on my components turns on too. however the system fails to display any picture at all and the DRAM debug led is a constant yellow/orange. the motherboard is new and i’m using a 5800x3d cpu and the debug led for cpu does NOT turn on so it appears the cpu is working. ive already reseated, cleaned, and individually tested both of my corsair vengeance 2x16 3200mhz ram sticks but to no avail. i figured the motherboard would come with the most recent bios out of the box but perhaps i was wrong. i also know that the CPU and RAM both work bc they are from my old system that ran perfectly smoothly. any thoughts/assistance anyone could give me?
I am wondering if it needs a bios update. It's common they need to be updated to support all the CPUs. Other than that... Anyone else watching have any ideas?
i did get it fixed but my solution wont really help you im afraid. i took my pc into a repair guy and when he plugged it in it just booted right up, all he did was attatch a bios speaker and its worked perfectly ever since. id try updating bios, unplugging everything one by one and plugging it back in, reseating/cleaning your RAM and DIMM slots, and trying out some spare parts if you have any. wish i could help more bro but thats all i got@@JackDaniels08
I'm comming from a prebuilt with a crappy motherboard and im looking to upgrade it with this one. Also im thinking of buying a Nzxt H9 Flow. Would you recommend this motherboard in combination with that pc case, an ryzen 7 3700x and a rtx 3070? Loved the video
Literally my exact build but with a 4000d airflow. Couldn’t be happier! I’ve done a bit of research since building and apparently the 3700x is a bit of a bottleneck for the 3070. A better cpu means more $, but it’s definitely the next thing I’ll be doing to my pc so I figured I should share with ya since we’ve got like the same pc.
Is this motherboard compatible with the ryzen 5 4600g? I just wanna be sure because the information i got within the compatibility of this board with the cpu is pretty limited, and im unsure if i have to do a flash bios update first before i can install this processer to the motherboard.
Yes, this motherboard is compatible with Windows 11. I typically would pick the newest version of the bios as it's the most up-to-date and has the most recent fixes.
Returning PC builder here (from 4th gen Intel). I only play esport titles. Should I go for this and pair it with a Ryzen 7 5800x3d? or Go for an AM5 B650-E with Ryzen 5 7600? Price of both builds are almost the same. Awesome review! Thanks!!
Don't go with the B650 or AM5 build right now without knowing the risks, there are problems with asus am5 mobos and apparently not only Asus, where the processors are being damaged.
Yes a certain model of Asus AM5 boards were overclocking cpu’s without users knowing and frying them causing smoke/fires in some builds. Stick with 5800x3d/am4. It’s the cheaper, more reliable platform at the moment. Plus the benefits you’d get from going next gen isn’t worth the extra $ you’d have to spend. I was in the same boat earlier this year, and decided to build a 5800x3d with this asus mobo/7900xt. The 58x3d is by far the best cpu for am4 if your only gaming. If you do other workload related stuff i’d go for the 5900/950x. My advice would be to build an am4 system, and wait for next gen to come around. imo, this recent gen was like the “first try” of the new generation, next generation will be more refined for both cpu/gpu’s i feel. If you’re still in the build process, amazon currently sells the Red Devil 7900xtx for $989.00. (that’s as much as I bought my powercolor hellhound 7900xt at the time i purchased 😢) But it is what it is I have to settle with the 79xt till next gen lol
@@ADJ161996 Definitely a difference, but mainly for CPU performance since you can take advantage of the better x3d chips. But is it worth the extra amount of $? That’s really dependent on your wallet. If money isn’t an issue, by all means build an AM5 system. Id personally get the 7800x3d it’s an amazing chip. But if you’re on a budget then I feel AM4 has the better option and the performance gap between the 5800x3d and 7800x3d isn’t too crazy, but it IS there. For me, I wanted to keep my build under $2500 and with the money saved going am4/5800x3d i was able to put the saved money to a better gpu and psu. The gpu is where you’ll see most of your gaming fps come from anyways, and the 5800x3d will drive the 7900xt/xtx just fine. Speaking of which, I ended up breaking and ordered the MSI Gaming Trio 7900xtx last night 😆🤦♂️For $934USD I couldn’t resist. That’s cheaper than I bought the 79XT last year 💔 So now I’m trying to sell my Hellhound 79XT. Current market for it is $1000 on amazon, and high as $2000 on ebay. Makes no sense 🤷♂️ I posted it up for $900 obo tho
I have one of these motherboards. I am looking to add another M.2 SSD. I dont know much about upgrading. On Amazon they have M.2 with one notch and ones with two notches. Could you tell me which one to buy.
