Just did last month, i like it, the M.2_1 (Gen 5) didn't pick up the M.2, but in the bios you can change the pick up Gen 4

Built my 7700x on release with this board. No issues - usb bios upgraded recently. Works great. Looks great. PCIE5 on GPU is pointless when they barely touch PCIE4 currently.

I wish you mentioned how long the boot times take with this MOBO and AMD CPU's. It seems to be well documented but not really mentioned in reviews.

All systems with DDR5 take slightly longer but shouldn't be more than 20 secs except for 1st time - memory timings can be reduced also

Mine will not work in Expo with DDR5 6000. I get random crashes. Even when I manually put timings in, it will randomly crash. So far with default settings and expo off, no crashes.

I've been hoping to upgrade my 9700k to a 7800x3D and this has been the motherboard I've been eyeing. There is has been a lot of drama around ASUS but I've had a really good experience with my Z390-A Prime so I don't particularly mind. I am also wanting to get a decent quality power supply, AIO, and a AMD motherboard so it can last a long lifetime and if I ever do think about getting something like a 9950x3D (I believe they said they will support AM5 up to 2027 recently which could mean it could go even higher) or something wild years from now; it's more than capable. This is a really good video and breakdown! You earned a subscriber from me 💀.

Just ordered this mobo and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D as it came bundled. Was curious will the board bios support it out of the box? Or will I need to flash it, I’ve seen some posts early of last year that scared me a bit I won’t lie 😅

It all depends on the installed bios but YES IT SHOULD work out of the box - that being said a bios update is well worth it along with drivers and chipset updates so it works perfectly my friend. i have used 7600x all the way to 7950x3d without issue :)

No mate the same it's just you have less pcie lanes than x670 for nvmes

Just got this mother board. Which m.2 slot is best to use ? I currently have ssd in m.2_3 but i now noticed that m 2_3 is shared with pciex16_2. Manual says that m.2_3 is disabled when pciex16_2 is in use. But if i dont use pciex16_2 is the m.2_3 slot still somewhat restricted ? Should i consider moving it ? I know in the video he says the top 2 are connected to the cpu ? Would this be more suitable for my only m.2

Top slot always as its fastest and doesn't share any pcie lanes with 1st slot x16 pcie and yes if you have anything in 2nd 16x slot it disables 3rd may.2 slot. Thanks 4 watching and taking time to ask

You can put windows on any of the m.2 drives you have connected, personally I always have it on the upper most drive

No you don't need to but I personally always update as much as possible same as chipset drivers on installation

No it will just run at gen 4 speeds mate but you can also put in 2nd slot at gen 4 too no problem

I have a system with a 7800x3d, 6000mhz ram with this same motherboard with 2tb ssd. It takes me at least 30 to 40 seconds to boot into windows and I would like to know why. I've seen people boot up in much faster times, I have EXPO enabled and PBO enabled as well. I have fast boot enabled included and i'm running windows 11 pro.

disable memory training in the bios by enabling the "Memory Context Restore" feature (Extreme Tweaker > DRAM Timing Control > Memory Context Restore -> Enabled).

FPS is controld by your GPU not your motherboard.

Fps is controlled primarily via GPU In conjuction with cpu and ram and guess what ties these all together it's your Motherboard mate. Nowhere near as important but still has an impact.

Hi! I've ordered the ROG STRIX X670E-A to go in a white corsair 5000D airflow , have you had a play with this mobo and is it any good? I usually build myself but this time I've ordered form PCS UK , coming with the mobo will be a 7800x3d 32gb ram 5600mhz 1000w psu , CORSAIR ICUE LINK H150i and 4 extra Corsair QX120 fans ( I have a proart 4080 super to go in when it arrives). I've not upgraded for 5 years so coming from a 2080 ti - Picked the fans and case after watching your videos ;) Would love to see a vid on the mobo I've selected if possible , not many reviews on this board for some reason.

Well my mate your in for a treat to say the least! HUGE upgrade 👌 👏 you will love all this hardware used 10+ times in builds. The mobo is solid and no issues at all - I've used with 7800x3d and 7950x and 3d versions without issue. Loads of connectivity too and just shows that a b650 has all you will ever need pal. Loving the pro Art 4080 super (I'm doing a proactive build this week with mobo and gpu in a h6 flow all blacked out and the corsair link AIO and fans) coming in next few weeks!
