I have this laptop and the rog sound when it starts up always gets me and it probably will forever. This thing is a beast and a small package. I love it.
Oh damn, I didn't realize they sold a variation that comes with a backpack. It's even boxed together. I just got this laptop and live in Toronto, I never saw the option online for a backpack anywhere in Canada. Does the screen really have a 25ms response time? Thats not THAT bad is it? My partner bought the ryzen 9 version with the 300hz screen. Looking forward to doing my first video review/comparison of them before x mas time.
This so weird, Canada Asus website also did not mention included backpad in the box. Not sure about the 25ms response time, but I am playing game like CSGO at least no ghosting appear for me.
The backpack only comes with the rtx 3050 version as far as i know, being that u bought the ryzen 9 version suggests that u have atleast the rtx 3060 or a more premium gpu
Looks so nice and the design is perfect, however all I understand in gaming laptops is NOTHING. Would you recommend me to buy it if I would love to play Assassin's Creed Valhalla? I am about to ready to buy exactly the same model....
Nice laptop. I'm considering to buy the same model as yours. But I saw in a review, that 144hz screen got a 25ms response time. For 300hz, it's 3ms. How's that screen like when playing fast paced FPS games?
Yes, it's nice and good quality build. For the 144hz screen when I play CSGO, I feel that this screen is very smooth, maybe I upgraded from the 60hz screen of my previous laptop.
I work with Photoshop and programming languages and I am also a gamer. It doesn’t matter how much weight for me. things that I need to know; is the cooling system good and how much does it sound when using the laptop? Also, does keyboard wear itself on long time usage?
For me, I used AI and PS at same time, temperature around 58°-63°, fan sound average 24.7dBA. The temperature for playing games will be at 75°, > 34.9dBA will abit. A year later, I have a few keycaps with peeling paint on my keyboard.
This laptop 17.3 inch (G713QC) weight is 2.4kg. Other high spec like G713QM,G713QR weight is 2.7kg. If you just use it at home, then recommend to buy, but If you take it out every day, you can choose a thin and light laptop.
Hey I wanted to ask if this laptop is good for a college student? I do some gaming but mostly it will be used for work and I will probably carry it in a bag or a backpack often. Also are the fans loud when using it for normal daily work such as word or google in a quiet room? And how are the temperatures holding up?
Yes, if you don't mind the weight of laptop 2.4kg (17 inch), Ac adapter, mouse almost 3kg. Gaming laptop sure loud a bit but there have several modes to control noise reduction, performance (silent, performance, turbo, and manual mode).
hey im gonna make a decision between lenovo legion5 pro 2021 it has Ryzen7 5800h, Rtx3070 140WAT and Asus G713QR it has same CPU and RTX3070 130WAT .both have 32GB ram and 2k display.but im not sure abou G713 Adobe rgb%.in my country G713 is 150$more expensive than lenovo 5 pro .which one is more quality and great for buy ?i really care about my laptop display bacuse it has very important job on my gaming experience. and one more thing G713 have a 300nit display,is it so little?because lenovo have a 500 nit display and im cunfused thanks .
ROG G713QR sRGB in my country is 100%, you need to confirm with the store's staff or check on the ROG official website. ROG has nice shapes ,design and RGB. The Lenovo is cost-effective.
This screen has a fairly good color reproduction. I work with photo manipulations and cinema vfx and that's enough for me. If you want to see more colors, you can always connect an external monitor using the HDMI port.

kinda late but in fact if you want to just work airbook air is enough but if you want to ae aswell then you can buy Asus TUF laptop series because they have some cheap pcs
According to official website, you can work off a smaller USB-C adapter up to 100W and travel even lighter with a single charger for your laptop and phone. 50% in 30min fast charging. But I didn't test it.
@@sridhars3467 sorry I cant to test it because I did not use a 65W charger. Please make sure phone charger is support 65W 20V*3.25A. I think not all phone charger are guaranteed, u need to change another 65W charger to test it.
Hey! I bought this same laptop. I wanted to know does fan shows 0 rpm in silent mode in armoury crate and when you swith to windows mode from silent mode.
@@leomxs3814 I read on reddit that asus has made silent mode truly silent 😂 But damn im confused, hope it's normal becoz when it's required fans run and when not stay at 0 rpm......
Most of gaming laptop are meant to be plugged in to play. For this ROG, I have set battery balance mode, battery only charged up to 80%. 80% battery life normal use around 2.5 to 3.5 hours for me.
This spec G713QC not include ROG impact gaming mouse, only G713QR,G513QR and G513QC Electro Punk have included in the box. You can check the information via Asus Rog Website., there have mentioned what included in the box.
hi, I didn't play this game, you can refer to others game test like ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CkIs_sdz4Mk.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3ulRp3DbezA.html

DON'T BUY THE 17" QHD VERS OF THE STRIX SCAR LAPTOP! I've bought 2 of these now and each one has really bad screen bleed all over the monitor. Awful. Very distracting and really not fit for any kind of decent use. I can't believe it at this prove point. I have the QHD model, which should have a good, 100€% Srgb and DCI-P3 monitor. Now way is it that colour accurate with this amount of screen bleed. It's like lights are shining from the top corners. Can't believe how bad it is. Worse than my decade old Dell laptop monitor. Didn't you notice this on the one you reviewed? It seems to be a design flaw, as it has appeared in 2 seperate laptops for me. Unless I'm just the unluckiest person in the world? I doubt it. Why isn't anyone mentioning this?
Regarding the screen bleed, I have no problem in regular use of the monitor because I didn't use it in a dark room (and also without used with maximum brightness in full black background). I think every brand will have quality control problems, it also depends on our luck.
Good pick @Daniel Bull! For the price point we pay these days for a premium piece like this there shouldn't be a issue like screen bleed. As @LEO MX pointed all systems may have minor issues...I agree...to an extent, But this is the damn screen which they advertise so much about colour accuracy. The main issue with the bleed is usually because the screen isnt glued on correctly behind the edge of the screen...btw I have seen how a laptop is assembled hence my comment...but when these come off a large line of laptops no one pays enough detail to this and also the end customer who may not notice it/who dont care/who are unaware about it, never complain about it as a defect. This is definitely classified as a 'manufacturing defect' according to the maker. I have raised complaints about other laptop and monitors I have purchased in the past and they tried their best to convince me "thats how they are" but you need to stick to the point that you are eligible to get a replacement as this is a defect and not 'normal'. And both times I have got replacements but its a pain to go thru the whole process. Dont agree for something defective that you have paid a premium price for. Screen bleeds are just not acceptable as it is the main part of a laptop or a monitor. And I just realised my pizza has been sitting on the oven for a good 10 mins and its burnt!!! Cant replace that as screen bleed...lol! Regardless good buy @LEO MXS.

Not sure you're quite following. I purchased this laptop because I work in VFX and wanted a powerful mobile computer with as good a monitor as I could find for colour work. This is advertised as 100%SRGB and DCI-P3. But it has terrible light leaking from all around the edges of the monitor. And so this is pretty useless, as it cannot be used to reference or work on any content reliably. If you have to turn the brightness down to stop a fault, that still means there's a fault. Which shouldn't be on a 3k laptop with an advertised great monitor.
There is only 2k model. And I'm pretty sure it will be in yours too. Watch a dark video in a dark room on full screen and check the edges. To make super clear, press the edge skf the screen slightly and you will see the very visible screen bleed. It's a design flaw.
I am just about to consider buying this laptop, with the 17" screen and QHD screen. I did look at the laptop at the store, and didn't notice any obvious bleed/issues with the screen. If anything, it looked impressively sharp and colour accurate to me. What I would point out is that this is most definitely targeted at gamers, and not designers. It's possible that you are very, very much more sensitive to this than others, or that you did in fact get two in a bad batch of screens. If I do buy the machine today, I'll let you know what the screen is like in different lighting conditions when I get it home.
