I got this a few days ago and the only sort of downside is the panel.Other than that its a beast .I use it for music production for my mobile rig and it smokes everything in its league.Great video dude
In the future, I'd be thankful for info about what game is currently on the screen. I also think the comparison at the end to Acer is slightly misplaced, as I am looking for 17" laptop, while the "better competition" you seem to advise, has 15".
Sorry guys I never got any notifications!! It’s great, and thermals are low af! Rust I got solid 60 MAX Valorant can hit over the 144 easy also, Mind you I upgraded to 16gb of Ram.
i looked at both of these lap tops. what he doesn't mention is the one with a better GPU comes with a smaller screen. This was a big deal to me as I wanted the bigger screen. Both look solid, but you have to know you are going to give up something if you are going to get better hardware for the same price. Also I am buying this to play New World on when I am out of Town. I will let you know how the GPU does.
@@jayjaybennett5907 this turned out to be a great laptop. My son just graduated high school and one of his friends parents were looking for a laptop for them for college. It has the power to do everything they need and so far it has been very reliable.
@@CzarnyBogSeksu very satisfied. I build all my own PCs for myself as well as friends and other people. I stay pretty up to date with tech. But laptops you just got to find the right one. Mine has been reliable and have had zero problems. I highly recommend it.
lol, I literally just commented this....he is baffled why this laptop cost 1300 when you can get a better cpu and gpu for 1300 but fails to mention that laptop has a smaller screen, its like come on now my guy lol
Thanks for the video I want to buy this laptop But I have doubts about the cooling system. How does the cooling system of this laptop work during the game? Does it work well?
buying it today my bro in usa will test it and then send it in january when he comes back to my land wish me luck i want it for graphical work i hope its beast like many said and im def gonna buy 8gb ram to make it 16 god i cant wait ti place it on my desk and stare for 10 sec then slowly open it and power that beast up... its gonna be emotional upgrade after using pentium for 10 years with intel hd graphics and 4ram still runs normally but Edit: bought it babyyyy!
@@BrianOnline it costed me 823,99 with taxes and recycling fee its gonna be delivered tmrw to my brother its like normal play actor starting to act in Hollywood ive never even seen with my own eyes computer close to strengh of that laptop even desktop pcs its gonna be surely used for gaming too because of big family and brothers and sisters and relatives using it.
@@BrianOnline delivered long time ago lol and its great its beast when upgraded altho mine had no additional ssd slot and i was surprised i cant wait to see it in real life but its alr my bro says its great.
@@oops5697 bro i want to buy 17" i5 rtx3050ti on walmart its 989$ and on best buy its 899$ but coming soon where can I find the best deal for this spec.... should I wait for it to come on best buy?
Hey, I got some deals in my region regarding this laptop and the Acer Nitro 5, but I'm not sure which to pick. The TUF got the same specs of this video but has 12th gen i7, same as the Nitro 5 that also gets the same RAM but RTX 3060, 1TB storage and costs only 50 euros more. I'm not sure what to purchase because I know Acer overall quality is at times disappointing and they do not offer a great customer support. What would you suggest for both gaming and content creation (mainly music production)?
Currently have this in the cart to purchase for 3d blender and rendering work... its just within my price range shopping wise. I am not experienced with technical terms and descriptions used in your video but do you think i can still buy for this reason?
Hey 👋 yes, it is definitely powerful enough for Blender and similar software. But I’d recommend you to wait a bit until the Black Friday begins, I think you’ll be able to get even better laptop for the same price tag! ;) I don’t think several days will change much 😉
I got this a couple weeks ago, and since then I can only play for about 10 minutes before the screen goes black and I have to hard reset. The keyboard is still lit, the computer is still on, just the screen blacks out. I’ve done fresh installs, updated drivers and still nothing. I’m sad I have a $1,400 brick essentially. Anyone have any idea what it might be?
Great review! I'm here because I'm debating between this and Acer nitro with the same specs 11800h/3050ti... it seems the asus has a better battery, what I'm wondering is which laptop has the best quality build overall, as I'll be opening the case a couple times for upgrades....
Love the video, Definitely subscribed. Please do an indepth video on Escape From Tarkov on this laptop since am considering buying this laptop particularly for this game. Thanks ❤
How is it about temperature? Does this laptop get hot a lot for a long period of time, running high quality games? (Also have you tried on it AC-Odyssey high quality?) The other laptop you shown, the predator, is awesome but unfortunately is a 15" t_t Also if I can say, the price even for these models are getting higher for lack of chip and resources caused by the lockdown all over the world.
Do you think is good for a rugged notebook? I want one solid laptop for travel all days with good battery and can play kinda all games. But I don't know which laptop choose
“Gaming laptop” and “good battery life” can’t be used in the same sentence, unfortunately… don’t know what to say. I’d look at IdeaPad gaming 3 with 12500h if I were you
I'm curious how many fps this would actually do with World of Tanks on ultra everything. I'm sure it's not especially demanding and a bit of a niche game but I am looking in to possibly getting a TUF.
Hi can you please help me,, i would like to upgrade the ram of my laptop to 32gb but i dont know if single rank or dual rank? what is the difference of this two,, thank you
Look, I honestly don’t know what do mean by “rank”, but RAM can work in two mods - single channel and dual channel. Basically dual channel mode (it’s when both slots are occupied by same planks) allows your random access memory to work almost twice as faster as RAM in single channel mode. So if your laptop has 2 RAM slots and you want to upgrade it to 32 GB total random access memory, you need two identical 16 GB planks, ideally from the same producer, for example, from Crucial -> amzn.to/2Udboig
I need help choosing a gaming laptop for $1299. Currently, I am looking at Asus Tuf gaming F17, 32 RAM, i5 and 2 T harddrive. What is the best for my budget?
Hey! Do you think this could run Star Citizen? The website recommends 16gb+ so I’m a bit worried if I’ll need more than that. Edit: I noticed you can upgrade it to 32gb, can I do this after I buy the laptop? If so, is it expensive? (sorry, idk much about computers)
Hello! You don't need to upgrade RAM to run Star Citizen ;) If you still want to do it, follow my Telegram channel Deals of the Day -> t.me/McKenzie_Deals You can find the best offers on those upgrade kits there! Hope I helped!
I have the exact same laptop just with a i5 11260h it came with 8gb ram so I upgraded it to 16gb bought it on sale for 800 only problem is the power brick gets really hot when Im playing heavy games otherwise im really impressed.
I have the same laptop you have and i'm having an fps problem my gpu is not going more than 50 % in all the games for example r6s on lowest setting is on 70 to 90 fps even on ultra the same i had pc with gtx 1050ti that used to run this on 120 fps is it a ram problem or what ?
It cost more than that other laptop you liked because it is a 17.3" display and the one you shared was a 15.6" display, come on now, of course you can get a 3060 if you spend less on the screen size.
Hey, I just bought mine like 3 weeks ago, but for like past 3 days I've got this problem that my games just shut down and takes me to desktop, any ideas what could be the problem?
hi i just bought nt first laptop its tuf f17 and i have been having this problem when im playing valorant i get like 40-50fps consistenly please i u can help it would mean a lot Thank you !
I’m about to get this laptop for $680 on sale but again the graphics card is what I’m most concerned with so is it worth the buy or should I wait a little bit saving up some money to buy say a 1,130 for a Lenovo with the 3060? I’m not trying to pay too much but if the price difference is worth it then let me know but rn I’m only playing total war and a few other small games that aren’t like GTA or big heavy duty gaming
just got it but the battery is preaty weak.. idont know what are you talking about... my friend has the 15 inch one and he has the same problem with the battery. should i contact my seller??
Anybody thinking of getting the F17 laptop get it if you do filmmaking because the noise cancelling technology is so awesome you could use a cheap lavalier mic I use a Sony $20 one I got off Amazon and it's just as good ...with the ASUS noise cancelling technology as A $300 lavalier mic... Noise cancelling is such hurdle when you're doing filmmaking cancelling noise IN audio and Asus HAS figured it out with their AI
Hi need advice in selecting one of these laptops. Dell g15 ryzen 7 5800h with rtx 3050ti 4gb vram vs lenovo legion 5 5600h rx 6600m 8vram both with 16gb ram and ssd 512. Should I go for 3050ti as at least will support nvidia broadcast and nividia studio.does does help also for video editing and streaming. The purpose of buying watch soccer simultaneously record it on laptop and then video editing and may be video chat and voice over probably nvidia broadcast will help. As there is no such thing with rx6600m. Please let me know ur thoughts
Hello! This is a nice choice for recording and live-streaming games & tv shows, also for video editing. But as for voice recording, I'm sure you'll want to buy a proper microphone as well.
Hello! It's actually better if you play with DC plugged in, there are several reasons: you don't experience massive performance drops, you can play as long as you want, you don't wreck your battery.
@@flaresoulz_7024 Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Been saving up since June and I got $1,100 put back so far. Gonna keep on going till June of next year and see what I can afford!
Hey, may I ask something..I just bought it for few days and noticed that my gpu not using rtx 3050 ti graphics card instead it used intel…I asked the seller and he said need to wait for up coming driver to released…is it true that need wait the drive for rtx 3050 to release?
@@BrianOnline thanks for replying, Mine just update its bios and now it shows the nvidia rtx graphics card…before this it just used the intel processor as graphics card…Thanks again
j got a question, i got this laptop about 2 weeks ago and it was running overwatch so smoooth at around 100fps, and now i went back into overwatch and now i’m only getting 40-60 fps, anything you know about this? i’d appreciate the help, ops wrong video i thought it was the one, mine is only intel i5 11th gen with 8gb ram, same gpu
I think it will be better to send you the link to this little guide 😅 it will explain better than me since there are screenshots attached. Here it is: www.windowsdigitals.com/force-chrome-firefox-game-to-use-nvidia-gpu-integrated-graphics/ Let me know if it helped! 😉
@@starbuckscx Overwatch is notorious for this kind of nonsense, even on my desktop PC (2080 SUPER, i9900k). It's likely not your laptop. I'd recommend Googling your specific problems (the game is so popular you'll likely find threads of people solving the same issue) or tinkering around with the settings yourself.
Hey nice video. I have a question about the battery life, I have the same specs as yours but mine lasts 2 hours at most web browsing would you know why?
I bought the this same laptop but it came with a i5-11260H and 3050ti it does lag on cut scenes on same games like cod ww2, i do really like the screen size but wish it was a little more vivid and brighter, i did however get it for 779 plus tax at bestbuy about 2 weeks ago, is it worth keeping ?
Hello! For ~$800 it is a great laptop! I’d keep it. Even though it has i5 CPU, still it’s a perfect combo with 3050 Ti. Just drop the settings to medium-high and enjoy it!
@@BrianOnline thanks bro ! i returned the dell g15 with the ryzen 5 and 3050 for this one and it was over 200 cheaper, just been a struggle to figure out a good budget laptop to get 779.99 plus tax this is a great computer
Hi, do you think this laptop (i7-11800h based) wouldn't suffer from thermal throttling under heavy cpu load? Im doing audio production, cpu is most important to me, and Im on a hunt to buy a cpu powerful 17'' laptop, thermal throttling and under wattage of cpus are my biggest concerns. Thanks
If the Windows is 64 bits, it supports more than 3 GB RAM. Next you should check if CPU and motherboard support that much RAM If they do - the laptop supports 64 gb ram. Also you should check the manufacturer’s website
I want to buy this laptop and got very important informations of your video i wondered a few things if you can help first how is material quality is it sweating your hands and feel unconfortable. Second is screen quailty, if you have to rate what it would be of 10 thanks for video and sorry for my bad england xd
Hello. thanks for the review I got this one with the 3060 card. Unfortunately for an unknown reason the screen flickers-flashes on unexpected time. I have updated all the drivers but keeps doing so. Have you faced anything like this. Thank you in advance
@@BrianOnline thank you for your quick reply. Gonna return it before the DOA expires. It is shame for such good laptop to have this kind of issues. Thanks once again
This same exact thing happens to me on the same model, I ended up returning it and got a new laptop and a few days later the flicker started on the replacement with it getting worse over time and the screen flickers very frequently especially when scrolling. I also tried using an external monitor with it to see if it was a screen issue but the issue still occured, so it must have something to do with the gpu and not the screen.
@@nymiixmymiix680 I mainly use it for college but the battery life is short on this one. Only lasts about 2.3 hours with 3 or 4 chrome tabs. For gaming, I did play GR Wildlands, middle-earth SOM, Mass effect andromeda @ solid 60+ fps. With a ram upgrade ofcourse, 8GB is not really enough. Not even for windows. Edit: if you're a hardcore laptop gamer then I would suggest buying the 3060 version. 4GB V-ram is not enough.
Im looking to buy this one: ASUS TUF Gaming F17 FX706HM-HX004T But cant find any reviews on it, it has a geforce rtx 3060 and an i7-11800h with 8 cores. I wonder if its worth the buy it cost's me 1500 euro's
Looking to buy the same one. the i7-11800 is better for pure gaming then the AMD Ryzen 5800H and you're set for a couple of years with the 3060. I feel like it's worth the price but only if it's a 17" screen. 15" inch is too small for my tastes
@@Epicgamingboysz sooo, I went full yolo and bought it (3060, 11800 core, 17inch). It'll arrive tomorrow and I got Borderlands 3 ready to go to test this baby out. If it can handle BL3 i recon it can handle most of the newer games. I'm not completely sold on the i7 11800 core but budgets exist for a reason. If you wait for a couple of days I'll let you know my experience with it. Also, toevallig NL/BE? De naam doet me vermoeden van wel
Can you help me ? Im searching for a gaming laptop that is under 2000 € i don t care that much about portability but i d like it to be very powerful for games and also be able to run photoshop no problem .is it much to expect out of it 60 fps rdr2 in ultra graphics or do i have to go higher
Hello! Alright, try this - amzn.to/3oB83Fx Meet, Gigabyte AORUS 17G YD. I think this is a perfect solution for your needs 🧨 * I'm so lighted to tell you about it, honestly, it's been sitting in my head for awhile already! It has a 17.3" Pantone Certified screen (means that the color reproduction is on very high level, and it's just what you'd want for photoshopping and gaming) with 300 Hz refresh rate and low response time (so no ghosting, no lags or something like that during the most intense gaming scenes), it's bright, and the laptop itself is EXTREMELY powerful. It packs an 8 core Intel i7-11800H CPU, 105W NVIDIA RTX 3080 graphics card with 8 GB VRAM, 32 GB RAM right out of the box and 512 GB SSD (upgradable). It can get you 60-70 stable fps on ultra settings playing Red Dead Redemption 2, and I think it is the best you can get for the money. The problem of laptops is that they are difficult to keep cool, so they cannot get even close to full-size PC's performance. So... This is one of the best laptops on the market overall. Hope I helped 🎩
