It's always difficult to know which you guys prefer, normal speed or faster. Normal speed requires more editing but if it's better for you guys to watch then it's worth it. 👍
I currently have a complete TUF Zaku edition build (minus the 1660 super) and as much as I don't want to, I NEED better airflow for my 3080... this case seems like an absolute winner
Well done! I saw other videos for Asus 502 build and notice that you put AIO in the wrong place… both from airflow and placement prospective… those at the back are SSD brackets!!! 😊
I have never worked with case like this, it looks unique but I was worried about airflow without a simple front to back airflow. Thanks for the video, I think I might do a largely Asus gaming build with this Case, a Tuf Motherboard and whatever else I can find with that name tag.
I dont think the case is terrible, but its not a focus for ASUS, never has been. its like they feel they have to do something in every category even if its not really a bit concern. The pricing seems off to me considering what else you can get on the market today
I have a question for you where did you connect the front led for this case the one that lights up the front case badge. In a big coincidence I have built a system that is pretty much the same as the one you have but I can’t figure out how to connect it to get it to light up. In the build I did not see you connect it. Thanks in advance for your help.
Usually pumps are very quiet these days but there was a distinct rattle noise with this one. I'm pretty sure it was the cover rattling due to vibrations.
I’m really interested in the case. I’m going to build a new pic in the coming months and for now I’m between this one and the Hyte Y60. Do you think the rad is going to be fine in that position??? I’m getting an aio as well but I’ll probably gonna be buying a watercooled gpu as well. For positioning I was considering top and the back(next to the mb) instead of that compartment in the back. You think the aio is going to be fine? 🤔🤔🤔
the 3mm more from normal aios make a diference. since the rad is bigger. the case look intersting to work with. update is coming (aio) The fans i am getting those once they come to market those look incredible
Well, you sold me with the comment about the "Asus Case" sticker, James. I thought before the review was hardly out-the-gate this would be a Therrmaltackyesque affair of a case, and so it proved. I do like the overall aesthetic you achieved; the case; mobo; psu; memory; and fans go well together. I won't use Asetacky or Ngreedia products myself; I don't like either of their business ethics. Noticeable sag on the GPU too. My immediate thought was Caterpillar themed build with a custom loop; it is already a fair way along that road.
Nice review, for your info Ryuo means Dragon King, which there are four types of dragon , in this case it's referred to the Water Dragon King and in Japanese it's pronounce as You Yolk. anyway good cooler.. I have tested it. amazing results on a 7950X.
@@KitGuruJames lol yup.. I did an indepth open view on this AIO which was provided by Asus, I am impress with the Gen 8 Asetek pump. It's quiet and those fans that comes with this, the 120mm ROG AF 12S ARGB, they are not just good static pressure fans but the amount of detailing and the areodynamics is good. Too bad they are not sold separately.
@@KnightRider-lq5yb you are most welcome. 🙂 as I believe there is a meaning of some PC components are named and as why are they name it that way. Just like TUF, it means The Ultimate Force , more of like showing it's strenght.. again no doubt about Tuf boards, they are build to take the heat of processors or rams.
Shame the "dual" chamber forces you to join the chambers... I just bought this and intend to isolate a 280 in the side chamber - why they did not make mounts for one of those to slide to the more open rear end of that chamber is beyond me. Dremel Time.
Just what I needed!! More SSD mounts!! Just stop with all the hard drive mounts, no one wants those. Where's the EK Pump reservoir mounts? That would be useful.
I wonder how it'd look with a vertically mounted GPU seeing as it doesn't come with a PCIE 4 riser cable that might complicate things a little. I'm looking at this case or a Lian Li O11D Evo myself for an all AMD build in white, should look good!
My question is, does this case support a watercooler reservoir with a TUF 4090? I'm thinking about using a 360mm/45mm radiator on top, if anyone can help me with this question I'd be grateful.
i have the gt502 case but i am unable to connect the case argb cable to my motherboard because it has a male connector so can you tell how to you connect the case argb cable to motherboard??
One of the cables is designed for the optional argb hub, which is often bundled with their 3x120mm TUF fans. The other cable is specifically for the logo on the front, and should connect normally to any mobo.
In the rear compartment of a dual chamber case it shouldn't really matter much. In a standard ATX tower it depends on whether you want to prioritise CPU temperature over GPU. A front intake AIO will favour CPU temperature but a top exhaust AIO will favour GPU temperature.
@@KitGuruJamesI think it does matter if intake you feed with cool ,fresh air the cpu and since this a dual chamber design the warm air from the aio shouldn't affect gpu temps. Isn't this how a dual chamber chassi is supposed to work?
@@GG-wi7ev that's why I don't think it matters much. With the AIO as an exhaust in dual chamber it will be pulling in fresh air from outside through all the other vents and then exhausting warm air out rather than blowing warm air from the radiator on to the back of the motherboard and potentially heating the CPU socket/VRM area.
@@KitGuruJames but two of the fans are behind the mobo in this set up and the one closest to the tubes faces the front chamber so where is the fresh ,cool air? As an intake the fans face the mesh side panel where they can pull air from outside of the case
@@GG-wi7ev that's the flaw with the case. If you were to put the panel back on to the right of the motherboard, one fan would be completely choked, the other two fans behind the motherboard tray have some airflow gap and would pull in clean air from the rear panel vent and the other two vents on the right hand side panel.
🤦♂️🤦♂️This case looks very much as if some ASUS engineers had thought about how to copy a Lian Li O11 case in the worst possible way and then sell it as something new as expensive as possible. I have news ASUS that was an epic fail !! Rather buy a Lian Li O11EVO and invest the around 30 € you save in Quality Case fans and you will definitely not regret it 😌👍
I don’t want to offend the author, but the placement of the water cooling is terrible, it doesn’t look nice (sorry), but installing it on top and the fans on the side would look better, + you wouldn’t have to put it sideways on the processor
Where is that radiator fans are going do get the fresh air from? Really bad decision!!! The air flux is really not enough. Your Ryzen is going to burn!!!
URGH, Asus Software, what a disaster. I keep saying it, but they need to put more money into the development of it. its terrible. Its why I dont buy many of their products.
Wise up man. James builds amazing systems. I’ve seen at least 10 here he has crated that are amazing. This case isn’t great. Very little he could do about it.
This case is ok. But like me who owns a lianli evo case its no were near it. The aio placement at the back is weird, can't get the logic behind it. More like a gimmick to me. I think the plus side for me is the straps at the top and the price.
