Thank you for sharing. My X553M had a power light and green light but would not turn on. No fan or noise. Took battery out. Checked my connections and reseated the same battery. All works again until next time. Keep up the good videos and schooling..

Hi, I'm having issues with a f553m someone was going to toss out. All I have is the non functioning laptop, and another battery, so I presume they tried to replace the battery themselves. I got an adapter, which works (it puts out 19.45V). Anyways, I had the same issue. Laptop wouldn't budge when I turned it on. I disconnected the battery and power, and held down the power button for a minute. I left the battery disconnected, plugged in the adapter, and nothing. I do have that 0.6V between terminals on the power switch, so I'm assuming the switch works. Are there other points on the board I can measure for troubleshooting?

i have the same laptop and the power ic get so hot..its 20pin with body marking 2Q 2E. i seach for the datasheets but i couldnt find any on the internet..does it mean the ic is shorted?

I have the ASUS X553S for 2-3 years and everything was fine. Today, I have it plugged into the charger but is is draining the battery, showing that it is not charging, then once every minute or so, for one second, it shows it charging, then shows back to battery. I will attempt to take it apart, disconnect the batter and reconnect and see if that fixes the problem.

perhaps you can help me, the jog switchboard on my LG 34UM95 (part 34MA64D EAX65469603) is broken, how can it power the monitor on without it? The jog connects with a 8 lead ribon cable to the logic board .. pin 1 is GND (blue), pin 4 and 8 have both 5v all other besides pin 6 have 1.6v

My asus x55c had 2 new replacement battery used. When the new battery was installed, the laptop turns on and I put the charger on and its charging then I left it charging for a couple of minute but when I came back to check, the laptop died and the battery died.. what's the problem of my laptop? The oem battery is A32-K55 and the same code I bought from on-line store. I bought 2 already and its always the same problem that would come up.

Hello my friend. I have an Au X551m and the motherboard is a little different but the lay out is different. the internal battery went dead and plugging off result for a week. I´m not able to start it again. I leave it unplugged and after a while, I plug in led light is on for few seconds and then blinks and go off and no more led light untill I cycle the power again. Any Ideia? all of this procedure is made with the battery off. Thank you.

Was looking all over youtube to find out why my computer wasn't working. The charging light was off and wouldnt turn on so i left it to charge for an hour. Nothing. Then I moved its charger to another outlet and it turned out that it just wasnt getting the right amount of volts from the extention chord. I feel so dumb. I had this issue that is my Asus x553ma is not turning on ! Even no light came when plugged power adapter. Noting is working everything had done like pcb cleaning , boot without battery etc... but no use . I found there was a heat under the pcb ! Why its so? Im suspecting that power IC issue ... help me out !!

Good morning, my x553 it only works with the power supply installed, I have tried changing the battery, but when I connect the battery alone, without the power supply, it does not respond to any signal, no LEDs.

I have this issue at work all the time with HP 840 G6 laptops, always the same issue with battery freezing the system and not charging, not turning on. Same fix, open, remove the battery, connect the cable, test, reconnect the battery, test, close, fixed.

Mine stopped charging 3 days ago, took it to a repair shop day after and he phoned me yesterday and said the motherboard has gone corroded and it would cost a lot to get a new one, but he said the hard drive is fine, he didn't even mention the battery, could I try this trick the see if it works or as he said it's the motherboard just get a new laptop

Can you help me pls I have an ASUS N552VW Yesterday I upgraded my Bios with ez flash tool because it has a lot of issues(battery 0% plugged in charging, can't update to Windows 1909, overheating..) So after the update my pc won't start, it stays in Asus logo screen and I can't go to safe mode or boot menu ( I tried F8, F1, F2, esc, Del...) Today I went to a laptop fixing shop and ask him to find the cmos but it's missed, then he tried to unplug battery and boot now it can't even boot or load ASUS LOGO, there's some light appearing then it stops immediately, he said you should replace the bios chip Please can U suggest some fix for this I Think he did something wrong when I went out to eat then cameback to check. Plus I can't find this Asus model replacements in my country

The software is not stuck , it happent this to my assus laptop on windows 10 when going to hibernate is not switching off completely , the air fan keeps spining and the battery drains out below the powe controller voltage , so you need to disassemble it and remove battery and connect it back !

Same problem..mine however works without battery. With battery it does not work. Then checked the cmos battery, that is showing 0.7 volts, so removed it..now it powers on with mains. Will keep updating
