People who like macOS and it's reliability don't give a shit about x86. The biggest issue with x86 now is Windows.

@@Error_705 Yes. Intel was comfortable pushing the same CPUs with a little tweaking on clocks for almost 10 years, just now when competition arrived, we are seeing changes. There's a lot to squeeze in the x86, they just weren't willing to push it, until now.

guess not - this is made by TSMC and Intel paid big bucks for it. N100 is just too cheap to be sent to TSMC. Intel 3nm is for server. Possible some mini pcs can use Lunar Lake eventually - but I do not see that any time soon.

it can be tested with ollama. There's a feature to show how many tokens are being generated per second. For example: ollama run llama3.1:8b --verbose --keepalive 10s and then give it a task like "tell me, step by step, how to install wordpress on my laptop, I want to run it locally." And now the Ollama software downloads the model, runs it and the AI generates a response. And at the end it shows you how long it took and how fast it generated it. Using the exact same model over a multitude of laptops will show an easy comparison between then and their performance. And we could even compare how it performs relative to a GPU. IE: the thing I mentioned above runs with around 80 tokens/second on an RTX 4090 meanwhile on my gen 10 intel CPU, it runs with 5-8 tokens/second. Again, very easy to make benchmatchs. But most tech reviewers are like "yeh, there' no AI stuff, we can't test it" and I really don't understand why. Its so easy to make benchmarks with this. AND THIS WORKS AND CAN BE COMPARED WITH EVEN LAPTOPS FROM 5-7-9 YEARS AGO. Provided you have enough RAM run load a model.
