Let's say realme x2 pro / x3 superzoom, realme never said that those are their flagship killers even though some people know if brands are giving somekind of specs within those price range are gonna be called flagship killers. But Those are true realme flagships within realme capabilities to make flagships. I hope you know what i mean
I don't disagree with either looking at their samples though, gsmarenas samples looked considerably better than AAs, makes me wonder if there's some differences between each of their units, either quality control wise or software wise...
I don't know why they are saying the camera looks good here. Daylight shots are all clipped with low contrast. There is your typical oversharpening that gives far off tree leaves a giant hard edge and, alongside noise reduction, kills detail. Everything is just white. Lowlight looks terrible without night mode and with night mode the colors look ghastly.
Damn, Asus has come a long way with their setup, those pictures look awesome, even at night. Great work with the night mode, the only thing that was a hit or miss was the ultra-wide camera for selfies. Inconsistent skin tones, but overall, looks like a great phone. Wish the mainstream media would cover these less known brands more, instead of giving all the focus to Apple and Samsung. :/
I have the Zenfone 6 and my biggest issues with it (apart from it completely dying about 9 months in and having to send it in to be repaired) are that the screen is not AMOLED (which is updated in the new 7), it only has 4G (which is updated to 5G in the new 7), problems finding and connecting to bluetooth and wifi and also the sound quality and volume on calls. The sound was a big complaint in a lot of reviews for the Zenfone 6. When I am on the phone outdoors or in public places, it is almost impossible to hear the person on the line. I sometimes even put them on speakerphone and still struggle to hear them. It seems like this hasn't been improved on the 7, especially if the speaker volume hasn't improved from the 6. Also, it's a little sad that they've gotten rid of the headphone jack, but I guess I will just have to upgrade to wireless earbuds and get with the times...
Uhh iPhone 11 does 4K60 on the front cam. Overall it’s a great smartphone. I used Asus in the past and the smartphones they make are awesome. Great review!!
That Pastel White version of the Asus Zenphone 7 Pro is amazing! Love what Asus is doing with their phones this year! Especially this phone and the ROG Phone 3 just look amazing! Their Android skin is not bad at all either! Just hope they can updated them for 3 or more years and get updates to the phones quickly.

You want better music quality and not having to worry about battery? Fine, buy old school headphones. Asus could've given us that choice but they decided not to, in order to sell their wireless stuff I guess. Don't lie to yourself that lack of space is the issue, it's all about marketing and money, everything is calculated. If they wanted to put a headphone jack they could've done it.
@@vhyles literally nobody owns OnePlus buds or ASUS buds but they don't have headjacks on the phone, because people are stupid and don't care about the battery or sound quality like you do. They probably prefer wireless earbuds because there's no wires, that's the reality of it
the only motorized-kind phone that i want is, when the phone is automatically rotate to record from vertical to horizontal and vice versa, without rotating the phones. means the built in motor rotate the lens when i want to change to rotation of video. as the risk of the phone slipped when rotating the phone while want to record the video.
If it feels that it's in a free fall, the camera will retract by itself to keep it from possibly getting damaged (that was the case with zenfone 6 and I'm pretty sure they kept it)
They should have made it with a 7 or even 6 series Snapdragon and sell it for 400€. That would be a truly great phone. Too expensive like this and the 865 Snapdragon is unnecessary.
Great review. Nice phone, but that price! How long will this phone last or more importantly, how long will that battery last. That's really the thing right now, the battery is the limiting factor with all phones now. Before we could just pop the back and put in a new battery. I have an LG V20 and am looking for my next phone. Let's see how hard it is to open this up and change the battery
I think there should be just a single ZenFone 7 model, but apparently a lot of people have no idea how much raw processing power their smartphone actually needs. Unless you do video editing and data recompiling daily, there's no difference between the normal and the + variants of the s865. 8Gb of Ram is more than enough to run everything on Android, but the lack of optical image stabilization for the cameras on the normal 7 makes it not very compelling.
@EMANeleVenElevEn EIS has to crop the picture to keep it smooth looking in video and the camera uses information from the sensor to do the cropping. But if the information from the sensor is lacking like when using it in dark it can't do the cropping properly which ends up making the video shaky. EIS doesn't work in photography. OIS moves the sensor in real time up - down and left - right, based on the gyroscopes in the camera so darkness doesn't affect it. Also it enables the use of the whole sensor and works in both video and photography. OIS and EIS are usually paired together to achieve the best possible result. EIS can be as effective or even better than OIS If there's enough light, which you can see in the video when the super steady mode is enabled. In super steady mode much of the sensor is cropped but of course this means there's lower resolution.
It's a great device until the updates from Google stop in 18 months to two years. Though, if you change out phones soon enough then you don't have to worry about that. They put in an 865 chip but that doesn't mean anything if you get updates stopping and you don't get the great software optimization that Google has if you're going to compare this to a Pixel for the camera alone. You got to remember everyone's looking at Google when they're putting out a new device and trying to beat them on hardware. They may just do that as we've seen, but it doesn't mean that device will run any more smoother than a Google branded device. The software optimization from Google is second to none.
Does it matter how good the phone is if when it breaks you have to send it back and be stuck with no phone for 3-4 weeks? Bad warranty policy that's no good for anyone using phone for business!
Great phone and all, but if you're unlucky and get a defective product based on my experience you're gonna regret buying this phone. Asus after-sales is that bad.
looks like a awesome phone ! Notchless design, interesting flip camera system, good camera, 8 GB GDDR5 RAM, 256 GB space, Best processor from Qualcomm and much more. Too bad it has no 3,5 mm jack. I rea,ly can't stand that "trend" ...
Best Flip camera mobile but .... Asus claimed beautiful capture from auto panorama camera in zenfone 6z. However, moving objects were not captured. Now 7 and 7 Pro have this problem or not?
This review is as good as the phone. Not a lot of editorializing and it goes into great detail. Forcing myself to stay on an at least 2yr update schedule sucks because I'd grab this up super fast. I hope it sells well and I can get the next version.

So this ZenFone 7/7 Pro will only be available in Europe? Yeah i kinda expected that since ZenFone 6 didn't get released in SE Asia. So if you are from Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and India.. don't get your hopes up. Maybe you can order online but you'll be paying more with its import/ customs fee.
Great Phone.Like the design.Camera Setup seems pretty good.But only 700 Nits Displays coulb be a Problem in direct sunlight.With boost i can get up to 1200 Nits on my Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition.That's the only thing i would miss.Great Job Asus

Looks a decent phone , but just one thing caught my eye , maybe it is an optical illusion , but it looks like the display actually sits above the surrounding case by a couple of mm ? Not a good look imo ,, and i`m thinking not a good thing if a clumsy git like myself was do a dropsy on the hard stuff . It does appear to have a flat display which i like , no doubt a chunky case would fix the uplifted display if in fact it is as i think it is . I miss the old days when phones had a certain amount of bezel ( that also acted like a bumper to absorb impact ) and the screen was a tad recessed into the case for protection . All this bullshit with curved edge displays (YIK ) which are not much more than a fashion trend that team android cannot seem to shake for the most part . I`d certainly look at this phone if it came to town .
