Hi, thanks for video, I followed and all is working perfectly except possibility of adding fingerprint. I checked in test mode and test result seems to be positive. Unofrtunetly, when trying to add fingerprint in security option it detects finger, but not reading fingerprint... I suppose it is some kind of protection. Do you know how to fix it ?
It seems issue should be easy to solve - sensor works but needs calibration. Unfortunetly only authorised ASUS technical service (located in Netherlands) has such a tool. I opened threat with them informing honestly about the issue (screen from China and replacement by myself), expecting that they will do it as paid service, no luck, they charged me c.a. 20 EUR for checking and rejected my request saying that screen has not proper serial number (I understand - is not from EU distribution). They offered me replacement to "original" part. I was really disapointed. Concluding - no sollution found. ASUS Europe policy is not allowing to give service for parts not purchased via official distribution. Finaly phone is working without fingerprint sensor... @@giuseppealeo4304 Ask on asus-accessories website via their contact form, say you purchased a replacement display from them and you need the calibration tool apk, they will send it to you :) I had the same issue and solved it this way
Hi I have the same phone but the glass is cracked and the actual LCD underneath is good. In this video did you replace the whole thing or just the glass? Also would it even be possible if I could just replace the glass of the phone since I found I can buy it it's just I don't know if I need to buy a new LCD so yea?
