I've had a horrible experience with the Xt9- incredibly unstable. It has now completely stopped working - resetting does nothing. The one positive is the 1 year warranty in which getting a refund through Amazon was an incredibly easy process. Still regret the many hours I spent on troubleshooting this though. Apparently a lot of Redditors are having similar issues.
Hello, thank you for your review. If I have router #1 connected to my modem and router #2 connected via wifi backhaul, could I connect a device to an ethernet port on router #2 and it would be able to reach the internet? Thanks!
Hello I am very interested in routers and have simple knowledge. So I often watch your RU-vid and spend a lot of time choosing my router. I live in Korea. My internet environment is 500mb internet and 1 wireless laptop at home I use 1 desktop and many smartphones and pads. (I have 3 children) I am sensitive to wireless internet speed. So I used rax50 + eax80 together. (5 rooms) I bought asus xt9 from amazon for faster and wider coverage. However, the coverage was wider, but there was a problem with the wireless speed and connection. I wonder if this is a problem with the machine or the settings. Before change rax50 + eax80 2.4g 100mb~120mb (proximity) 5.0g 240mb~250mb (proximity) 5.0g 50mb~100mb(5m) After change asus xt9 2ea 2.4g 20mb~45mb(proximity) 5.0g-1 175mb~230mb(proximity) 5.0g-1 100ml~120mb(5m) (5.0g-2 wired backhaul) Issues after xt9 replacement 1. Wi-Fi automatic connection takes 1-2 minutes 2. Intermittently unable to connect 3. Connected but unable to receive data (for a while) xt9 settings status 1. 500mb internet to xt9(1) wired connection 2. xt9(1) ---(Wired back hole cat6e)--xt9(2) 3. xt9 1/2 distance is 5m distance 4. Before installation, initialize xt9 once, reset once
I haven't found an answer for myself, maybe someone can tell me. I have ZenWIFI xt8, I want to connect it throughout the house as one network. But, from the provider I have a modem with WIFI, to which I connect ZenWIFI xt8, then ZenWIFI xt8 create their own network around the house. And it turns out that from the provider I have 1 WIFI with my own network, and from xt8 I have my own Mesh system. What's wrong and how can I do it as one with my provider. I need ZenWIFI xt8 switching technology-the device itself chooses which communication channel better
Go into the modem and turn off it's wifi. Bettter yet run it in bridge mode so it is basically uses the main Asus router as the main gateway. It's wifi can't mesh with the Asus.
