Get ready to challenge yourself with this tricky Distance Rate Time (DRT) problem tailored for the ASVAB Arithmetic Reasoning section! In this video, we'll dive into a complex question that requires you to build an equation using two DRT formulas, representing a total distance using variables. It's not just about plugging numbers into a formula; it's about understanding the relationship between distance, rate, and time to solve real-world problems.
We'll walk you through each step, from identifying the key information in the problem to setting up and solving the equations. This walkthrough will not only help you solve this particular question but also strengthen your overall problem-solving skills for the ASVAB.
Why is this important? Because the ASVAB isn't just about memorizing formulas; it's about applying them effectively to achieve the score you need for the military job you want. And we're here to help you do just that!

I feel like you could just add the total driving hours together to get 11, divide that to total miles to get an average total speed of 76.1 mph. Then use common sense with total miles driven and small change of speed to get 75 not 71.
