Haha Corey Taylor sitting in the waiting room and the doctor comes out. Corey- is it a boy or a girl Doctor-.........it's a legend in the making. Maggots roar with joy!!!!
@@Jennifer-ju8de i did. I said influence; I can hear their own sound. They are fresh into this scene; No band has found and settled on what becomes their sound from the start. Influence makes this sound at first, but over time, they find their own; In This Moment is known for Maria's screams, but also her clean singing that blends into a unique sound recognizable as ITM. Same with Imminence; Eddie's ability to transition from screams to cleans and cleans to screams is recognizable, but also his violin which adds depth to their sound. Every band begins this way, but they all find a sound they call theirs with time. If you listened, you can hear how bands evolve into the sounds they are known for.
Griffin has the best teacher in the world for vocals, and indeed has the same voice from the "teacher". What a fucking honor, can't wait to see this boy evolve more and more, 'cause it's already kickin' and it's just the beginning
I want to hear him try styles other than falsechord, some fry screaming would be nice and really showcase talent because it’s a lot harder to do consistently well
He was also probably taught how to scream by his dad, being his kid the voice is bound to have similarities. Just happy the instruments feel like their own. Different from slipknot but still metal. Great song
@@acid689 Oh, I'm sure he was taught by his dad and the other talented people around them. I just don't know if he would want his entire music career to be based around being compared to his father vs him as an individual, he still put the work and effort into learning the skill, not everyone can scream like this.
It has a slipknot feel to it which is good but its not a direct copy which is also good that they're not trying to ride the slipknot wave and are trying to add their style to it
I love that they are inspired by slipknot, but you can also tell that they want to create their own style, and that's great. I can't wait to see the band live.
They have a long way to go before they find their own style...A loong way! In order for them to do that they first have to ignore what they saw so much from their fathers, and take more time exploring a wider horizon of sound to progress a more unique sound, WE ALL KNOW YOUR SLIPKNOT S OFFSPRING!...Go take ur Dads Old Material and put it back in the closet w his old masks!
It feels like Slipknot 2.0 and I absolutely adore it. My fave band gets a continuation into the next generation and I'm here for it. I'm already a huge fan.
@@taureanmills8414 I don't think they should ignore what their fathers were doing, because then they just become another random heavy metal band. Hell they should take even more inspiration from them and be more like them.
I thought this would be "my dad's a singer, so I can do it too" attempt. I was wrong. They are great! What a voice! And the rest of the band - amazing! They are gonna go far, and I look forward to being within their fan base. .
Just found out about Vended today and I literally can't wait for these guys to take over the Metal scene in a few years. Vended Truly brings back the old Slipknot style and I love it.
Maybe mainstream metal which is like 4 bands lol....these dudes will never hold a candle to the better metal bands...right now they are getting by because of who daddy is...the mix is not good and their songs are lacking in any sort of dynamics it’s like they just slapped a few riffs on top of each other and then Corey Taylor’s kid went into puberty on the mic....I’m sure they could be good one day but these dude are no diffferent than the hundreds of local bands you see at the local dive bar...js
Taylor sounds like Corey on the first album, this is a good sign guys!!! You know he was schooled by his dad, can't get a better teacher!!! I'm 37 now and excited!!
You're the guy that went to see Slipknot live in 2002 London. I remember your username lol. I can only imagine Griffin's vocal evolution, it's going to be insane!
This band is gonna be absolutely huge one day, he's the blood of Corey Taylor, I think it needs some work but it's the first song so it's hard to judge.
This song seriously gave me the same excited and holy shit feeling I got when I heard the self titled Slipknot album when I was a kid. I'm 34 now and I literally got that same feeling as I did when I was 12!!!! Awesome job you guys keep up the awesome work. I can't wait to hear the album
@@reedy_9619 likely will shine on their own. It's just gonna take a minute for all the people screaming nepotism to shut up. Like I've listened to slipknot for now 23 years and I didn't go to listen to Vended. Waited to catch it organically. Even before that still would rather be kind. Simon thought I was fucking with him, I genuinely hope they become a legend in their own right. Nothing sucks more than wanting to live a dream and hearing others bash it.
That's probably how long this band will have recognition before everyoone gets tired of the "We're the sons of slipknot" Bs! Y'all claim theyre trying to find their own sound but they're just swinging off of the success of their parents...Quit contradicting yourselves!
HOLY SHIT! Slipknot fan for about 24 yrs here and you can definitely hear the roots here, instant Vended fan too now! It’s got it’s own sound and I love it but you definitely tell Griffin has his dad’s vocal power and similar tone and that’s a wonderful thing and makes me excited for the future of metal!
It's unreal how tightly this kid got with a band so similar to his father's band. How does a child of a legend capture the same lightning in a bottle? I can't wait to see this band progress 🙌
This shit wont last into next year...Sorry but the "We're the sons of slipknot" Bandwagon will crash and burn like a crackhouse before it gains momentum. PROG METAL IS DEAD! This generation killed it w mumble rap, pop rock, And every trendy loser using thhe rock scene as a fashion statement.. (I see one more chick with a Metallica shirt and can't name at least 3 songs im gonna choke her!) I now get my prog fix from classics becuase rock doesnt exist in this age!
@@taureanmills8414 This is so wrong rock and metal will always be there unfortunately shitty music will too but that's alwys been the case so chill. Oh and please stop saying "banger".
@Gill...Please read your comment section before you make a embrassing statement...Youre talking to 2 different ppl about the same thing...Ive never said "banger" idiot!
This is on repeat big time. All of these guys are so fucking talented. It has the old school slipknot kinda vibe but they made something they can call their own. They fucking killed this track. Looking forward to the album when it comes out
You guys keep backpedaling on ur comments **Almost every post ive seen** YOU'RE PATHETIC EXCUSES FOR FANS! One min youre saying they sound like slip then ur saying they have their OWN sound...MAKE UP UR DAMN MINDS! They sound like watered down versions of their parents...you guys r putting waaay too much hype on this band.... This is NOT a PAUL GRAY or a JOEY JORDISON pick me up! This is some trendy ass kids who got ahold of some of their daddys old unrecorded material and tried to pass it off as their own! #VENDEDFANSARETOTALMORONS #Screwyourfeelings #Catchmeoutsideyougotaissue
Guys! This is one of the first times in a while that the hair on my arms stood at attention while listening to a song. Seriously. I feel the rawness of it all and I am in awe. Congratulations on your efforts. I cannot wait for what is to come.
I didnt know his son was doing his own stuff until i saw a short today lmfao. I clicked on the page and instantly you can tell where his influences came from but they are still making their own sounds. Its honestly amazing.
@@ILTSC43 wtf are you talking about? Slipknot didn't just magically start by being signed and they most certainly were not just put together by a big record company.
Holy fuck this is amazing, same energy levels as Slipknot but brings something new to the table at the same time. This band are definitely one to watch, looking forward to hearing more
I dig it. It has this great combination of what you'd expect of today's metal and a familiar sound from 10 years ago. I cant wait to see what these guys evolve into
Youre right...Todays metal=Hot ASS! What these guys will evolve into? (Judging from this crap)=A more trendy, watered down, less popular version of their fathers... All of you saying they broke some kinda "Rock Barrier" Wouldn't know how to notice someone revolutionizing a style OR instrument if Joey Jordison came back from the grave on a old school jazz track...Or Hendrix came back on a hip hop beat!
@@taureanmills8414 hey it wont always be for everyone. Good on you for saying why you dislike them. Thats the stuff that helps people get out of what everyone expects
This is perfection, we may be inspired more by Linkin Park and Hollywood Undead than we are by SlipKnot but this is a perfect example of a good band with inspiration from another good band, yes this channel is owned by a band called The Awakening, we are tired of people replying to our comments saying "we?" No shit do you think one man will wear a mask that is actually five masks put together up on stage?
I grew up on Slipknot and Stone Sour, it's funny how Corey Taylor was my intro to the Rock and metal scene and here I am 30 and listening to his kid. Can't wait to see where you go from here. Count Me In, I'm along for the ride.
I was ready to come here and hate this. Impossible, this is genuinely amazing. I hear small amounts of early Stonesour, touches of Slipknot, and LOTS of Taylor. Yet, nothing sounds fake or forced. Ill be buying this album and supporting Vended 100%
killier af track :) god made my eardrums not have all the sound cause if I had it. all. all i could do is what you guys are doing. playing shows and rocking. this is the kind of track that makes other people start bands. and that might be the greatest compliment a band could ever get.
Oh my fucking god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have the words for expressing how much I love Griffin's voice is the same as Corey but the scream my fucking god is fucking insane You prove a family's last name is nothing. Continue like this I'm insane because the sound is a big legacy of great band
I try to check out this band for awhile and other bands I haven't heard yet because always working or spending time with the family which is always important but this band is awesome and this song and the sound of this song sounds like Snot.
