Just one thing, the asynchronous code is pushed to the webapi stack and when it’s done, it’s pushed by the event loop to the call stack again. So, you didn’t speak about the event loop I guess…

The video is very well organized, he talks about default async behaviour of JavaScript and the issues with it. He starts with a very basic way of fixing things around using callbacks and elaborate on it using promises and finally with syntactic sugar with Async Await. Thanks for the video :)

Took me about a week to really understand , in a way, how asynchronous code works. I understand promises kinda, but async/await syntax is more intuitive for me. This async stuff is a headache nonetheless lol

cool tutorial. the setTimeout function executes a function in the web api and give it the callback from setTimeout. if the time elapse the web api function push the callpack to the callback-queue which is a FIFO. the event loop checks if the callstack is empty, if so event loop push the callback to the stack and get executed. so you can set the delay on 0 sec and it still work bc event loop will push the callback only on the stack if it is empty. sorry for my bad english :)
