I would even argue the last 3 seasons shat on the first 5 seasons, and that last ep was that nasty toilet flush in our fucking face with lid up ... @mrcrabmoney
I mean Trixie famously said to Katya: “What do you think’s gonna happen when your parents die? Let’s take a break.” So she just says it in general to shut someone up lmao
I'm afraid to say, it sounds too Kiwi! Soooo, I think it's time... Let's send Gina Riley over to the USA to give Trixie some Oz Eloqution lessons! 🤭😁😅 ❤
i worked on an indie film set where the sound guys would play "Extra, Extra!" at the end of shooting a scene thru everyone's walkies and it still makes me laugh. What a great pod for me today! lol
Love when they get so excited to have stories they haven’t told each other, when they do such a good job of keeping things fresh when they have made an industry of hanging out and chatting 😍
trixie and katya look like two young truckers who found a genie's lamp on the roadside and rubbed it and got sucked in, and now they have to host a podcast for "them damn alphabet people" for eternity
20:25 “of course! when you saw wicked?” is comedy GOLD right after trixie is trying to get serious about 9/11 😂 i was crying omg katya’s wit and humor is underrated
@@alextrias9461 i mean you're right but some of them are basically poetry, meaning weird but has a deep meaning (specially in her begginings), but the English translations focus more on making it rhyme rather than keeping the context
Best quote of all time from Trixie: "Do you know what 'Transfer Addiction' is? Sometimes when people, let's say... get their stomachs stapled and they can't abuse food, they become sex addicts or alcoholics. And maybe, if you couldn't twirlina the poquina and nothing was on deck, perhaps you will put on your white lace-front wig and wrap a bedsheet around yourself and fancy yourself The Mother of Dragons. When in fact, you are not a mother nor a dragon, and there's a game involved, but no thrones. Transfer Addiction."
not me, actually believing Katya with her line delivery - pausing the video - and spending 25 minutes looking for Padam Padam Katya Hindi version - I boo boo the clown 🤡
@@amityisprecious1334 i honestly dont know. Padam Padam is one of my fave Kylie Minogue songs tho. Theres also a song called Padam Padam by french 1920's flapper girl Edith Piaf... the same singer that created the iconique "La Vie en Rose". I know she just recorded a music video though so im guessing theres a song? If anyone finds out please let a sister know.
lol when Trixie said “going to dragcon is cute, but not going is GORGEOUS. and gorgeous devours cute” so going to use that in regards to things id rather stay home for 😂🤣💜
Nobody is able to humble Trixie like Katya. Even when she's complimenting that Trixie could pull off looks outside of drag, she says Trixie "would've gotten a fabulous little suit and some weird hat" It reminds me of when Trixie was feeling her Scott Barnes makeover and Katya hated it lmao
Trixie: This is the one with OJ Simpson! Katya: WHÃTT???????? can any musicians out there tell me what note she hit here because i cannot stop replaying this part 🤣 addicted
As an Indian stan of the biological ladies, Katya correcting Trixie when she said "Hindu" is the dopamine rush I needed today. PS: please do a Bollywood song called Papadam!
@@madeleinerose4180 Might just be because Katya always bails early at events and jokes about not wanting to leave her home. But I do feel like this rule they’ve made about minimising hanging out off camera means they sometimes miss out on some genuine non-monetised friendship time.
The giggling has me thinking it‘s Amy Doan from sugarpill cosmetics? Could also be Eden though, I don‘t know her laugh… and it would kind of be more likely anyway, so you‘re probably right
I think they have podcast staff from their production company studio 71 there for the recordings? In past episodes there have been people stepping into the frame that don't look like any of their assistants. Or Tracy Marquez from their management company PEG is sometimes there and referenced, she was the one who was showing the AS8 looks on the computer. Would love to know who else is in the audience lol
@@Definatalie she doesn’t listen to her! I think that’s been the biggest problem… she’s trying not to interrupt as much but it means she’s just waiting for a chance to speak and isn’t responding to what she’s saying like in a back and forth conversation 🙄
Such a great episode! I was laughing the whole time! I also loved hearing the laugh off camera once or twice throughout, I’d love to be in the room watching these queens work 😄😄
Any idea on which episode Trixie plans her tour after "Katya's death"? Katya even mentions that Trixie should re appear with her old teeth. I cannot find that episode 😢
@@audrey9286Katya talked about succession with Kelly during her insta live yesterday! She saved it and basically said she loved all the women but hated the men lol
Yeah, though I get the initial aversion. I thought it was about rich people problems until I watched it and realized "Oh, the show KNOWS these people are awful, hell yeah"
I was in art school for 9/11 too, New York. Was heading to my 10 am class when a friend called me in a panic. I told her I was fine but that I had to call my mom right away. There are so many moments when Katya tells stories that I’m like “me too!” Terrifying & appropriate all at once.
Does it sound more sane to use that kind of poetic-ish language in Spanish? Sometimes it’s not just the words, but also the expectations of the language and culture 🤔
the fact that the "lucky that my breasts are small and humble so you dont confuse them with mountains" is a word for word translation from spanish is so funny lol
Aww Katya should of received an invitation to, she looked a little disappointed.🙁 Love you Katya, so glad you’re feeling better since you’re surgery 🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️♥️
“TSA? Worst drag show I’ve ever been to!” - Trixie and Katya There’s probably some queen in Missouri watching this whose name is like, ‘Tracy Sashay Away’ who is 100% putting that line on their next drag show poster.
The main thing I remember from 9/11 was the giant divide amongst teachers about whether they allowed kids to watch the news, if they continued with lessons, or if they spoke about it without the visuals. I remember one teacher turning it off when they realized that news coverage was filming people jumping to their death. Another looked at us and said, "I know it's scary, but we live in a bunch of corn fields. They're not coming for you here." It was a heavy day for 6th grade me. I knew enough that life was going to be different; I had zero scope for how badly things would fall apart over the next 20 years.
I could have typed the same comment. Had a teacher make a similar comment about how we all live in the middle of no where, and I remember thinking to myself, plain as day: "But what if they did..."
@@RedSpade37 My thought was, "But we live where a lot of the food comes from. That's where I would attack first." It definitely wasn't the reassuring comment he wanted it to be.
@@RoryOBrien-yu6wh DANCING ALREADY?! She's amazing. I had the same hip surgery in December and I'm still in pain just walking. Hip surgeries are no joke. Don't get old haha
My friends mom is 75+ and had replacement and she never even used a cane. She used a walker just for a few days, like less then a week. I dont know if there are different types?? But when Katya said it was over 5k with insurance i nearly choked. My moms having hers done in Juky and thank Gid its covered cuz i cant afford that and shes pretty much in my care.
@@doeeyes2 wow!! Your friends mom must be stronger than me hahaha I'm amazed! But yeah it was pretty expensive even with good insurance. Us health care is a joke
I have watched and listened to everything these beautiful women have ever made, and this podcast episode is in the top 3 for me. I have listened to this so many times bc it makes me so happy and I laugh so hard during Katya’s Wicked bit every time.
Katya's experience watching Game of Thrones is so relatable, why were we all acting like that?? Tbf HBO did a terrible job at marketing Succession. The finance stuff plays second fiddle to the family drama and they had an amazing finale which seems to be rare these days.
I feel like there’s tons of people out there missing out on Succession bc they get the wrong idea about it and never give it a chance, and it’s bc of what you just said
Katya needs to watch Alias the TV show from 2001. THAT is a show that has SO MANY things going on from minute one. (Also i want them both to watch it and discuss the wigs in it.)
