She is down and out. When it rains it pours. It is a total K.O. Yet, she is extended a helping hand both when she least expected it and from the unlikeliest source imaginable. She is allowed to dig her way out of the hole she has been cast into, but it may not be a straight path upwards.

Why would any 27 year old be remotely interested in a high schooler? Unless they are immature as well? Plus he was a jerk? Her and the older brother would have been better. Heck her ending up alone would have been better.

I think that there’s a misunderstanding. It’s a comedy with some serious under tones. They went to great lengths to emphasize that the two leads never so much as kissed because he was under 18. The lead grew from being a jerk to a pretty decent and caring guy. She, who had spent most of her teenage years working and taking care of her father, finally started having the “fun” that she missed. There were a couple of side stories that worked out. I thoroughly enjoyed it and laughed out loud more than once.

I didn't like the fact that she was a 27 year old divorcee, and he was still in high school. Why couldn't he have at least been in college? She should've just left him alone, and let him find someone closer to his age. If that had been a 27 year old man, and a 17 year old girl, it would have been a totally different scenario.

Hayami is a very inspiring female character she lost so much in her life but stayed brave in the face of adversity, she dealt with betrayal, rejection, loneliness, and uncertainty being a nice person but continously getting unreservedly screwed over but carried on with her life not crying but still allowing herself to be nurtured. She inspires me to be more stronger and resilient in the face of struggle and heartache.

I’m not sure why she gave up her house. She shldv said she would be living there til after a divorce AND the judge had to tell her to leave the house

I don't know why everyone is mad about their age difference. Elvis presley was 10 yrs older than his wife Priscilla. She was 15 and he 25 And no one cares about that?!!!

General rule of thumb for me. If the roles were reversed, would I be grossed out? If a movie were made about a 27 year old man falling in love with a 17 year old girl, I would be grossed out, especially if it's presented in a positive way (unlike something Lolita, which clearly paints the man in a negative light). Well, I see it the same way for this. I can't get behind a 27 year old woman falling in love with a 17 year old boy. It's the same in my book. Ew.

When I was 27. High school boys were extremely immature and childish like smaller brothers. Never would imagine going out with one. Too immature and too young!!

look..i’m all about love is for all ages n stuff but man wasn’t even 18!! they could have at least made him 19 or 20 like ahhh but overall it’s a nice story. it’s js weird 😭 if it was the other way around people would have lots more to say.

Moral of the story is...life and love is not a game...there are bumps, twist and turns...to turn this genre romantic movie into a game of conspiracy plots is stupid
