Hello dear Vivi, You are doing absolutely everything correct by doing little bits here and there so it does not become overwhelming. I know you have already thinned out items and cannot possibly get rid of anything else and have to juggle remaining items and find places to store them. Watching this video reminded me of when I was prepping my own house and getting rid of unnecessary things which were no longer relevant to my life. As soon as I engaged an estate agent I started looking at property online and had a list of eight potential properties and once I had accepted an offer I then was able to go off and look at a couple of suitable places. It saved me a lot of time and also gave me the opportunity to see what was available on the market in the meantime. I also packed everything up into boxes after I found a buyer which I was not going to be using and prayed my sale did not fall through too. I wish you a wonderful weekend in the meantime and please do not push yourself too much and rest when you feel you need to do so. Big hugs from the Norfolk Broads as always. X

Vivi you're doing amazingly well with all the emotions that come from moving from a home you've loved and been happy in, mixed up with grief and loss, it's bound to feel like a huge chapter is ending and changing. Just because you share parts of your life with us on here it doesn't give anyone the right to feel like they own a stake in it or to criticise, especially when in my opinion you never put a foot wrong in any of your content and I've been following along right back from the days of sean and the gang. Just a thought though could Richard and Paul or friends not take a few boxes in for you? I love these longer videos my partner and I could quite happily settle down and watch them all evening. Am in the process of an unwanted move from my home of 42 years. Many, many sleepless nighhts and anxiety attacks. Downsizing started off as "omg I can't throw that out" but then I quickly and tearfully realised it had to be "emg" as in everything must go. Wishing you all the best for your future plans ❤

When I was moving, I stacked boxes & put a tablecloth over them..made it look like a bedside table..had a book & small lamp on top (also works for beside a chair or as a coffee table) Good Luck with your move!

Oh Vivi such a shame I don't live a bit nearer, you could have put all your boxes up in my loft , but Yorkshires a bit far lol. You're very creative with your space and I have no doubt it will all be beautifully organised in no time. Moving is such a huge deal , I know I've done it over 20 times Arrrgh . I'm certain you won't have any problems selling your lovely flat. By the way I have plenty of bees wax for any cosmetic projects you are planning to do (when you have time lol) meant to say in last video, will post some to you if you like when I have cleaned it. a few boxes on the landing wont put anyone off it proves your moving I viewed a property once they were packing and I couldnt get into one of the bedrooms still bought it it's the location and size will sell your flat dont kill.yourself you have so much to do x❤

Well done, Vivi! Your goal is getting closer and closer. Of course, the closer you get to the end, the more noticeable the pain of saying goodbye is. Oh my goodness I remember the crazy jengaing that goes on before a house move. It'll be worth it though. I love your window seat where it is, it tells a tale of a cuppa or glass of wine watching the world go by. I wondered if you could make a few bolster cushion cases to hide your bubble wrap and roll some extra clothes.

If you can switch the bed area with the chesterfield area then the first view of your flat would be a living room instead of a bedroom. It might make the flat appear larger or at least more like a one bedroom layout.

The declutter clean up and sorting out is definitely my favourite part of moving prep. I’m currently in limbo after my buyer pulled out just prior to exchange 🙄After 17 weeks of being under offer I’m back on the market so flowers are back on the table and everything is spotless. Had a flurry of viewings so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I’ve been buying and selling for 40 years and never known such an unstable market. Keeping my fingers crossed for you Vivi that it all goes smoothly. Onwards and upwards 👍🏻💐

Vivi, try Mr. Clean Magic Erasers! You won't have to repaint. They do work like magic and will remove all those smudges. Just wet a bit and rub. They work better on bathtub footprint smudges better than cleanser and harsh chemicals.

Some estate agents will do everything they can to help with appearance. They may even offer to store your boxes for you, at their cost.

Hi Vivi! Gosh, I don't know if you remember me telling you that I was trying to catch up on your videos last year because I was in the middle of packing and moving my dad in with me. I completely understand your feeling of living in the moment because it would soon get chaotic. I fortunately had very good friends that listened to me as I was completely overwhelmed during this time. For context, my parents lived in a house for 48 years. My mother fell ill and my dad and I cared for her at home for 15 years. She's been past for 9 years now. Neither of my parents were minimalists. I supported my parents but I could no longer, therefore my dad had to move in with me. I had so many highs & very lows but my situation was completely different than yours. Your flat is amazing! It's clean, kept up, attractive and not overcrowded. I'm just telling you this, so you hopefully won't feel overwhelmed. When one of the real estate agents came in to get an idea of the house, she had this look I'll forget. Lol 🤯 You're so doing everything right and I love all your storage ideas. You honestly are going to make your real estate agent so happy and their job easier. As a home stager, I feel your flat is going to get bought quickly..Keep up the good work, treat yourself because the whole process can get to be a bit crazy.

Bless you , Vivi . There is so much to remember to do ! Your clipboard is handy ! It’s bringing the ‘little things’ together that causes the most stress, my opinion anyway. You should have no trouble selling the flat. Your Refurbishing still looks fresh. You’ve taken such good care of your home. Wish I could come give you a hand!!! Would the bubble wrap fit inside a pillowcase with the open end tied with a pretty ribbon? It can be a faux neck roll pillow when your home is being shown!

Your underbed storage looks really good quality. I've bought some in the past and it's been way too flimsy and has ripped in a very short space of time. I'm always looking for ways to store things. I have way too much stuff, but find it hard to part with it. I like your resourceful attitude to save yourself the expense of storage. I'm sure it will all work out okay, as always, as you have put a lot of thought into it.

I've moved so many times that I've learned never to underestimate how long it takes to pack everything. It always takes longer than you think it will. My plan is to never move again from where I am. I don't know how heavy the boxes are to go in the wardrobe, but be mindful of the weight on the shelf they will be sitting on. I admire your energy and determination to do so much on your own. Remember to give yourself some rest too Xxx

I used the bags for clothes and other soft items that I can suck the air out of. It reduces the bulk by at least half. I reuse when I want to store etc..because they're plastic..but super effective.

Oh my word Vivi, that is a lot of stuff to move. Not only once but twice! Moving is stressful. 😘2 weeks into my summer vacation, I made a list today as well, to not feel overwhelmed. With a big garden, never ending weeding.. I am building a greenhouse this summer, or more I am the project manager for it, getting my brother in, my nephew, and the contractors. The foundation was drilled today, i went for ground screws. Slowly getting there. Your new place will be so homely after you have had your hands on it. 😘

Nice to see you packing and making plans. When I moved, I was extremely lucky to get 4 months at half price for my storage. It was a God send. The packing and decluttering part is good, and then the bigger stuff that takes more thought and energy needs to happen. Just take little steps before you know it...... moving day will be here. My Lord, you wore me out. So much work so much planning Not easy to prep a home for sale and store all the things one will need in the new home. If one had tons of money, one could get a packer put it all in storage and then have it moved to the new home. I have to do similar this fall to clean, paint and fix up my tiny space after 14 years so I can enjoy it once again. Thank goodness I do not have to stage or move to a new location. You have my admiration especially doing it with truly rotten knees.

i had thousands of books in bankers boxes and i used them to mimic a double bed . i put a throw and pillows.on top. the watering can would look good in stair well filled with flowers or foraged greenery. There is a lovely detatched stone cottage for sale in my village. a bit of work but would suit you £150,000 lincolnshire.

Oh my! We ended up renting a storage unit and filling friends and family’s gardens with all of our garden and diy stuff! It was £215 per month. It took us a while to clear it all out. It’s a logistical nightmare. We accepted an offer within a week of ours going on the market and had an offer accepted but it still took five months until completion! We also had to move hen houses and little bantams. You are such an organised person that you’ll sort it all out. I’m so excited to see where you end up and how you organise your new spaces. Hi Vivi, After you put things under your bed, perhaps you could put on a dust ruffle to hide the storage. Buyers won't think about lifting the ruffle. Also, I'm not sure how far away from the allotment your home is, but if no one has taken it up, could you perhaps ask to store some things in the shed? Just a couple of thoughts.

Something I discovered when packing and when camping/backpacking and filling a car: rigid containers (eg boxes) take up a lot more room than soft containers (eg bags). Good luck with all your packing!

Hi Vivi, don’t worry about the odd touch in after builders have been in - I’ve had the same - it’s annoying but easily fixed. I remember when I was last moving to stage the house I actually put the ironing basket in my car out of the way. Everyone is the same. You’re doing a grand job. The flat looks great. 😎

Hi Vivi, we're always looking for storage solutions and really like the collapsible storage box you showed on your video, I've searched online for them with no luck, would you be kind enough to let me know where you got them?

As I watched I wondered if perhaps the allotment shed would have been a good storage solution?

Moving house is tough! We move next month, and while we’re excited for the next chapter it’s still very emotional leaving our family home after 23 years. And we’re downsizing so I’ve got lots to sort out and give away. Stay strong!!

Do it at your own pace. You know what you can cope with physically and also mentally/emotionally. I was the same. In the run up to putting my place on the market I wanted it to look the best it could. I'm moving in to my new place next week :). It's been a hard slog. I'm now planning on getting my stuff out of storage in a completely different city and then cleaning the new place and unpacking. It can be daunting but you can do it one step at a time. I would say though (although I'm hesitant to offer advice) is keep an eye on the market (as I'm sure you are) to see if there are perhaps three places you'd be willing to buy. Then put your place on the market. I think your flat is lovely and will sell quickly so you could then put in an offer for somewhere else. The problem I had was finding somewhere to move to. I think looking back I should have had a clearer idea and a few options as I ended up selling then effectively making myself homeless (living in cheap hotels for 18 months). I put mine on the market without having much to view as the market has been quite volatile for a while. Anyway, I'm sure you know all this so I'll shut up now :).

Make the company who is making that mess fix it or repaint it,you have videos that show you fixing that area

Take a picture of the wardrobe before the box's. Stick that up on the box's To stop the limbo. You make the decision to pack up for moving. Just don't tape up box's till moving day.

Hi Vivi, we just went through the same process of hiding things away for viewings and came out of the other side so you have my sympathy. I can see that your sofa has very short legs but I wonder if your flat packing materials could go underneath (by the wall so it's not noticeable at the front) on viewing days? Also on viewing days, could you unroll the bubblewrap and lay it on your bed under the duvet? it will make the bed look plumptious.

Pity the kitchen wasn’t moved into the main room and the kitchen made into a bedroom. A one bed flat would have commanded a lot more than a studio. Would have been worth the investment Too late now I know.
