We moved farther away from big cities last year but we got this house with the purpose of making it work for our autistic daughter's needs. She is also diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and one of the big regulators for her is movement. We have added more to the basement and we are planning even more! #weefam #autism #sensorygym

David, good timing with the latest swing. I think that helped Braylee a lot. The downstairs is so awesome!!! I think Emma and her brother will like that as well when they visit and they can all have a good time down there. I laughed so hard at that sign with the coffee cup and you sending it to Asa. David, you always bring a smile to my face. Thank you.

I think it’ll be nice that they can all play downstairs with the swings etc. especially when winter comes. Hahah it was too good to pass up 😄

David you could add a extra handrail on the other side equal to the one on the side that has one that would be a great improvement and a great idea love your family love you guys

We once had a steep staircase and had to tack on individual rubber stair treads for safety, but I have to admit, the sign is another cool idea. I love the activity space for Braylee! Gosh, I'd love to have a space to swing for myself. I love the daily vlogs, visiting with the Wee Family is always time well spent!

So wonderful to add a couple of sensory swings for her. I don't have much space to ceiling mount but I invested in a door gym swing and sling that my kiddo loves. I would add a dry erase board to use markers and magnets if Braylee into such things.

We do have a dry erase board but not mounted. Sensory space doesn’t have to be big! We have had some great smaller sensory spaces for her too.

That danger sign is so funny, I'm sure Asa will think so too! 😆 I am definitely going to make a sensory room when I get my own house and can make modifications. I'm glad Braylee likes her new swings and will get lots of sensory input from them 😊

Omg you make me laugh so hard!! That sensory room is amazing!! David you scared the cat when you jumped off the swing hahaha! They went flying! Oh my goodness look how much fun Braylee is having on the swing! She has the most amazing parents. Omg and the sign made me laugh so hard. Poor Asa lol.

When I get my own place, this is exactly what I plan on turning my basement into! I live in tornado alley, so it will be the perfect place to regulate and de-stress even in stressful situations! But I love summer. I don’t do well with the cold, so I’m happy with the weather now, lol

Wow the basement is impressive! I want to get a swing put in for my son. Was it expensive to have the contractors set up the hardware? The hammock swing(firework print) looks amazing, does it tip over when she swings? Thank you so much for sharing! Just found you guys 😀
