I used to hit balls at this range, Robert Sherwood was my instructor there. I actually had a job Running the ball picker after school for a summer. I still cheer Fowler on every weekend. Proud to say we're from the same golf community. Go Murrieta!

This is a bold statement that could get me some grief but Rickie Fowler reminds me of Arnold Palmer. Palmer had a great career but didn't need to in order to be loved by his army. Rickie is the same for me and a I feel for many of his admirers. I cheer for him but don't need him to be holding trophies in order to be a fan. This is a great video, his family and coaches as well as Rickie himself should be commended not on his prowess on the golf course but rather the man he chooses to be in life.

This proves that you don’t have to be a country club kid to reach for the skies. Rickie is so down to earth, so incredibly popular, and I can see why. He will surely be a Major champion in the near future, and it will be fully deserved. He’s already won the “fifth major” (The Players Championship).

I worked at the MVGR for 5 years and got to see Ricky grow up there. We practiced together a lot and Barry McDonnell was also my pro. His caddie, Joe Skovron and his dad Lou were also there a lot. It was a great time and I'll always look back on those times with great fondness. Go get 'em "Little Hawk"!! Big B is looking down on you with pride.

Ive been a Murrieta resident going on 15 years and for a town of 113,000, we are ranked one of the safest cities in the state boasting one of the strongest Police Forces in the nation where the police chief has lived here and served with the Dept for over 25 years. We have some of the best schools in town, and a very largely conservative, Christian based community. This is a community where driving thru the Starbucks or Chick-Fil-A drive thrus, it's not uncommon that the driver in front of you has paid your bill. We're a community that literally sticks together. I'm honored to raise my family here. ♥️

If you wonder why he's such a good putter all you have to do is go to this driving range. It's fast with pits ,bumps and some pot holes and the green on the driving range side is like a Donald Ross green. If you hit too close it just rolls off the green.

Interesting stat. Here's another---Fowler has never in his pro career finished with the best 72 hole score. Never in 6 years. And zero Ryder Cup wins in 8 matches. His ranking is a joke
