I love them so much since finding "Please Come On Home," and it's funny. They're of course identical twins, but I felt like I was seeing two different, if deeply synchronized people, with almost two different faces as they spoke (and of course, they have their own distinct personalities). But then, when they sing that bit of "Lord Have Mercy," they look and feel like one harmonious soul. Just to see that transition is crazy! They bring out a deep joy, a sense of life so easy to be alienated from. I'm thankful for this, to exist at the same time as them. I wish them so much happiness and fulfillment, as much as anyone can have.
I grew up listening to the Lijadu sisters through my parents . Its lovely to see how the Lijadu sisters embrace their heritage and culture beautifully. I hope Aunty Taiwo is not missing Aunty Kenny to much o because they were so inseparable, Rest in peace Aunty Kenny ❤❤
I knew the song ''Danger'' as a child without ever getting to know who sang it even though I do remember seeing thed LP with its cartoon design. I have only just seen some youtube clips of them from the 70s and really admired them for their beauty. Here they are again still looking amazingly beautiful for women in their 50s. Great.
