In kolkata...2 roti/rice, mix sabzi, chana masala, pickle, onion slice and a green chilly is what u get for 40-50 rupee max in many office areas... I had it so many time and even had 2pc of chilly chicken and fried rice for 65rs.... Well kolkata is really quiet cheap in comparison of other states if u hv 20 bucks in pocket u vl easilly get rice, dal, chokha and onion slice with complimentary pickle...

the reason why these film stars & tv actors actresses eat just 1 chapati & little sabzi is bcuz of dirty toilets around the set. there is fear of eating more food & then getting into motion trouble & no one wants to visit the dirty toilets for this. For beginners must be very careful while having more food on the sets bcuz if summating goes wrong you will have to visit the dirty toilets on sets.

Normally Lunch @ sets in subsidised bcuz producers order in bulk for 300-500 people . A thali costs 60-70 rupees with 2 chapatis 2 curries rice salad raita dal & pickle .

Sherry Hussain I am from south Indian (hubali Karnataka state) whenever mom feels weakness dad bring from shop roti 5 each roti cost 6rs and if u take 20rs Dal in that shop enough for 4 people They prepare food in home sell in their shop homemade food

Conversion rate bhi dekh lo yaar.. Pakistani 100rupees = Indian 64 ruppees. Secondly farmers in India are getting more subsidy which isn't even comparable with Pakistan making the food dearer.
