She is Robin Buijs, she was on my high school in Woerden (Minkema College) in fact, a year below me. Also, a guy you should look up: "J'Chanel Saija". He was on the same school, three years a classmate, still a good friend. He was on the Voice of Holland, he became third the same year she was active.
Geez, Portugal was so effortless - wonderful work! But then there's the last chick - goodness... This is one of the best compilations I've seen. Thanks for the treat!
Have to disagree! Some have done amazing covers. Not Etta James, but that's the point. People can do their own version and we get an updated version, so to speak. Beyoncé done an amazing job singing Etta songs. I don't compare them, I just appreciate a different spin on it from another incredible artist. All this "nothing beats the original". Why can't people open up their minds (ears, lol) and just appreciate and enjoy them each for their own version. Of course, there are many, many awful attempts for every song people copy, then you have the people who do an amazing cover!
Okay all of these were wonderful... but can we specifically talk about that last one, that girl from Holland KILLED it. That voice for such a young age... damn I was speechless. She’s got an ANGEL in her throat omg
The future of this industry: only this song permitted all over again everywhere all around the globe....sung by every auditionee thousand times over endless weeks....and then I woke up! :)
There was a lot of good singers in this compilation, though I gotta say the guy *and* the girl from Holland were spectacular, but the one that takes the crown, was the girl from Portugal 08:05 … holy moly !
Gives me goosebumps over my whole body! My mom was a really amazing singer in a band that played weddings, parties, etc, and this has been a lifetime favorite song of hers and mine! She still prefers a pretty hidden Christina Aguilera version I found on RU-vid in her early performance years, but this song gets me every single time! Dear Miss Etta James.....yes, you were so often copied, but no one sung this like you! We miss you so much!
Ok. I spoke too soon.. listened to it all.. the first lady VERY nice.. the guy in there.. was good.. but you can NOT do a fair representation without including jahmene douglas. BEST male cover ever.
All were magnificent of course but two were closer than others . One was miss Trinidad from USA and the teenager from Holland . Her father was obviously into it and probably the reason she became a musician .
Wow, the last kid, from Holland, brought it! Fearless! So good! So young! Get it girl! ... In the beginning ... Who's the fat guy in the General's outfit? LOL!
