The fig itself has digestive juices that break down the wasp. The fig has digested the wasp long before you digest the fig. Also it's a type of wasp that's completely harmless.
@@yalkn2073 it's actually the other way round 😂 If theres wasp corpses in your fig then it was harvested too soon. The wasps are all dead and consumed into nutrients by the time it's mature.
Besides the multiple inaccuracies, that’s not a thing at all for all figs. Most of the edible figs we eat are parthenocarpic and DO NOT need a special wasp to pollinate. The plant still produces figs that fully ripen. Let’s cut the bs please. The story of the wasp and fig is true only for certain species of wild fig in the Middle East, where this symbiotic relationship established in the ecosystem.
The common fig that many people grow doesn’t have wasps in it because they grow in places without the fig wasp. The Smyrna types you find and even the common ones you find in stores though do might however.

Probably not all off them because we changed figs in a way they don't need a wasp to grow. So you have to do your research if they are cultivated with no wasps or the other with wasps

What? No. If there's even a wasp in the fig, it would have entered during the juvenile stage, when the fig is filled with caustic latex. The tiny fig wasp would be completely liquified and absorbed into the fig long before the ripening process even begins. Also, not all figs require pollination, most varieties are common and don't require pollination. Furthermore, the fig wasp only resides in the Mediterranean and in parts of Southern California, so if your fig was grown anywhere else, there is 99.9% or better probability that the presence of the fig wasp in your locale is an impossibility.
This isn’t true. Many figs don’t require pollination. I grow a couple varieties myself that don’t require pollination. The seeds in the fruit are genetic clones of the plant.
Okay but isn't this how each fig is formed? The flower is inside the fruit and the wasp needs to go inside and have her babies, and the babies then fly to other figs or something.
The “dead wasps in figs” thing is a load of complete nonsense for starters the insects that you are referring to are more like fruit flies than wasps also around 90% of the figs that are grown and consumed today are from self pollinating varieties
@@a.a.w1833 I went back and watched all videos and there's been about 5 updates in total, almost all about avocado and mango seeds, but none about actual plants. All videos seem to be reposted from her tiktok, but in an extremely sloppy manner, so wouldn't recommend watching all like I did. A lot are posted more than once and considering how far back the originals go, she could easily have posted with updates.
