I sometimes ignore my, what i call instinct, but one time i was in a car in the front passenger seat and passing a bridge i was admiring some lights on a factory then a thought came to me "i never been in a car accident" and i realised i didn't have my seat belt on so i pulled it on then like 5 min later my sister in law lost the control of the car on some ice and we hit a tree. We were all good but it could have been bad if i didn't have the seat belt on. So i do try to listen to that voice inside me more.

It’s called “natural empathy”
@secret3957
@secret3957 Год назад
you seem to know something about that, so may I ask you a question? Sometimes when I walk in to a church with no people around, I all of a sudden feel very sad. I recently had it in a cathedral where I lit a candle near a statue to ask for health improvements and protection for some family members and this heavy sadness fell all over me. I swiftly moved on to where the Maria statue was and people were praying there. I also repeated my prayer and almost started crying by the overwhelming feeling of grief, possible from the people present. So what is that called?
@autodogdact3313
@autodogdact3313 Год назад
@@secret3957 You too have a natural deep empathy. Many times in a church or other religious place people attend who are deep in grief or there may have been a recent funeral where the whole place was enveloped in sadness. I think this is a stronger feeling than than the empathy most people experience so you are probably a natural empath. I am autistic (what used to be called Asperger's) and the woman in this story reminded me of my life. I have always been the odd one. It is kind of sad that people think those who are autistic lack empathy when it's usually the opposite. Sometimes it is too strong. Crowds are very hard when you feel all the different emotions of those around you pressing in as well as the lights and noise. I started my own business dog grooming so that I spend most of my workday with dogs. They have evolved to read people very well and I can be with them with ease. I only have one at a time, by appointment, so I can make it calm and wonderful instead of stressful for them. Animals are easier for me than people. People sometimes try to cloak their inner selves, while animals are true. I think if you open yourself to your feelings more fully you with find your empathy guiding you in other situations where the feelings aren't as strong. You were overwhelmed in the cathedral and that is difficult to manage.
@secret3957
@secret3957 Год назад
@@autodogdact3313 Thank you so much for your answer. ❤ I assumed that I was picking up residual energy in empty churches, but I was blown away by the energy I felt when praying to the statues. I also have felt 2 people's panic attacks (before I even saw those people), which was very bizarre. I am a teacher and have affinity with children that have no confidence in themselves. I am married to someone that probably has autism (very intelligent, but in my experience he misses the empathy). Our daughter has both the highly intelligent side from him and the sensitive side from me and she seems to attract animals. She wants to become a plant scientist, but if that does not work out, I think she would be very good in a job with animals!! I am discovering that I come from a family with "gifts" or sensibilities, so the story rings a bell where it comes to trying to fit in with people that are completely different than myself. Where as I always felt less than, I am now starting to feel that I should discover the real me and find out about my sensibilities and use them to help people and animals. Wouldn't it be great if there was a manual lol.

@@autodogdact3313 ❤Thank you and thank you :) I once had a new pupil in my class who immediately went and sat underneath her desk as she could not handle all the attention she got from being new in our class. All the children immediately wanted to help her but I told them to stay in their seats, but thanked them for their kindness. My classroom assistant went to her to try and persuade her to sit at her desk but I stopped her and told her that as soon as the child felt safe again, she would emerge and sit on her chair and that she would be allowed to get all she needed and work underneath her table. I think the assistant thought I was crazy. Within 5 minutes the new child was sitting at her desk and tried her best at the assignment given to the class. The classroom assistant was bowled over, she told me later, as her instinct had been to go and make the child feel welcome. I felt she just needed space and a bit of time. After that she blended right in with the rest of the kids. Nobody teaches you this.

My personal story is, I have an older brother who always insulted me, mocked me, belittled me until I cried, destroyed my meager possessions, and beyond that always treated me like crap. All this started when I was about 6 years and mitigated but not ended completely until I joined the military at 21. Even though I have college education, in my 50s I may be called a social hermit and a loner. I guess the power of forcing ideas into others people"s mind thru continuous repetition, is not a fallacy, I have no dark or magical super powers though. 🤥

There are more people out there than you would expect that have this subconscious ability and who know that when they get the heebiejeebies something bad always ends up happening. Even if this story itself isn't actually true it may be based off of an experience that either of the author of the story or someone they know went through. The reason she doesn't think in the story that there are other people out there like her is because they tend to keep to themselves too especially after they start getting accused of causing things to happen when all they tried to do was warn people about something they were trying to help prevent.

I have got to admit putting yourself out there like her sister did to try and save her from marrying someone that really sets her spidey senses tingling was a loving act and I would also state that even though I'm no longer married if I were to call my ex-husband and tell him something followed by the statement " I have a really bad feeling " he knows to listen he knows I won't say it unless it's true because people tend to make fun of those who do such things and he'll take it seriously. I have a few other friends from back in the day that would probably also take it seriously if I said something especially if it was about something I should have no way of knowing about if nothing else if people don't want to see it as an extra sensory type gift.... Not intentional but just out of control: I was ordered by my parents to go to a cousin's wedding in another country. I didn't know him very well so I didn't feel like going. The wedding was out of control. He invited over 300 people. Yes, 300. And I barely got to eat anything because, Surprise!, there were too many people there and they didn't cater enough food. The entire reception was a hilarious disaster. Couldn't even get a freaking coke to drink, they ran out in less than 30 minutes. Some of his buddies were at the bar, shouting and throwing stuff at the poor bartenders because all the alcohol had run out. I counted barely 8 boxes of rum/vodka. Uh uh, that won't even support two frat/sorority houses at the local college. Why he invited over 300 people when there wasn't enough food/drink for even 150 is something I'll never figure out. I'm surprised I got a chance to even greet the bride before the ceremony. The entire thing was a hilarious clusterf*ck. My parents clearly didn't approve of the disastrous way it was all set up but held their tongues. At least the marriage is still going nicely after four years...

The notion that those who work from home are slackers, or do not make good salaries is ludicrous. Both my husband and I work from home for very good and large companies. Combined, our income is in the mid 6 figures. People need to realize it is 2023, not 1953.

I'm actually glad she took in her sister. That would make the sister feel even lower. She should now know how her sister felt been treated poorly by their parents.

If I took the sister in, she'd have to pay me rent by becoming my skivvy. She would get everything back that she was given.

OP has what is called discerning of spirits and word of knowledge. It is a gift from God to be an intercessor. This gifting is simply that, gifting given regardless of the life she chooses. If she chooses God. He would train her up further in her gifting. I, too, have the discerning of spirits.

I can so relate with this Girl..Almost 40 years ago, I was 'invited' to come clean my Sisters apartment before her bachelorette party, and was happy that I had been involved in the festivities, but soon found out that they would be leaving me behind to clean while her, her Friends and my Mom went to the male strip club to party. So I cleaned...with tears in my eyes and a broken heart. This is only one occurrence of many like this, that went on for many many years. But I truly believe that when you pass from this life, you'll see and feel the pain you intentionally inflicted upon others. In other words, karma has everybody's address...

People do have a 6th sense, some more strongly than others. I've been able to predict the future a few times, but it was only when I was in a specific location. Something about that house amplified that meager ability. Once we moved, it was gone. It was on an Air Force base (dad was in the military), so there's no way I can ever go back to that house. But always trust your instincts, that's something everybody has.

Only one thing I cannot understand, why this OP with so much insight HAD to attend her sister's wedding? Why is "famileeeee" so important that it overrules common sense and warnings sent to her by her strange gift?

36:00 "I took in my sister" OP may be an empath but is a pushover/ doormat/ jelly fish where her "famileeee" is concerned. I expect an update where the parents also join her! All OP had to do was pay $ x every month for 6m? 12m? and let the crxxpy parents and clueless sister stay together in some cheap aptt. Then stop the dole once she was convinced they could cope!

Don't know if this was a real story or not but it was very interesting to read and follow along with. Also Opie or whoever the author of the story is why would you take in your so-called little sister? Not worth it she treated you like crap all your life and has a temper and whatnot so if this is for real the real situation real story I would recommend highly you don't hold onto her to live with you for too long as well you cut off your parents cuz they never really cared about you as well. The other thing I'm really concerned about your so-called parent is that you help your dad and mom in separate situations when you're younger and they never really thanked you for that they just painted you as a black sheep! So good thing you got them off
