Nice video, and great job repairing the 1330! Your spin on the Harvard Sentences was hilarious! As far as weather goes, it’s been like summer where I live for a month now. Every day, it’s at least 82. But at least the mornings are nice. Wow, that flutter is bad. Also, that hum from Farmer Keith was odd. The way the time changed to reflect the DTMF digits dialed was so weird! It wasn’t even actually setting it that way, just temporarily displaying them. That machine tried to get the last word in the video!
The Farmer Jone's Coldline phone line has had that hum intermittently for ages. I noticed the flutter as well, I don't know why it's so bad still, the belts are new. Perhaps they're not the greatest quality.
I've noticed the flutter several times on the analog answering machine videos. I guess that's just the nature of being analog. The weirdest part about the DTMF thing to me is the fact that it's displaying the outgoing tones, not just the incoming tones during remote access. It must somehow be hearing the outgoing tones as incoming tones as it's playing them over the phone line, but I don't see how that's possible when the input isn't then echoed back to the output.
