I got sober for my sickle cell after being exhausted going to the hospital every month. ER on the weekends going on 2 years without having being admitted. Focused on my health. Stray towards the healthier foods and the gym. Medications routine I also used to be a med tech so I understand the Importance especially something like metformin. Then there are my step parents that I wasn’t close to but gained understanding with when they both got different forms of cancer. One started eating clean and beat hers. The other said he accepted his “death sentence” pretty much bc he wants to live life how he wants. Quantity over quality depending on how you define it. Diabetic as well religiously drinks a coke every day, eats what he wants before and after he lost his leg. Neuropathy is a bitch. Started from a cut on his toe. Lost everything up to his knee. The shit is no joke. Rack up the bills rotate hospitals tell them everything you fill until someone finally runs all the adequate tests. I had a hospital tell me I had a uti when I def had pneumonia come occurrence at this hospital. That very well could be what’s happening to him. Kaiser accepts the uninsured and will also give temporary insurance if you’re in the financial bracket

As a fan I love hearing about these bonding staff trips cause for a while before AD came it kinda looked like it the chemistry had fallen way off. Now No Jumper has grown into a powerhouse. You gotta pull out as much as a red carpet as you can when you’re bringing the whole group out. So even if people don’t kno, they’ll kno by the time they walk away 💯 And I think it’s well deserved.
